Steven hid Pink in his room, and for three days Pearl hasn't found out about Pink yet.
"What's that bright light in the sky?" Amethyst asked, sipping a bottle of booze.
"I think that's a... shape ship!" Peridot cried.
"Is it another Ruby ship?" Steven asked. "I don't feel like dealing with them again."
"No, it's orange, and it's small. So it has to be a single rider," Peridot said.
Suddenly Lapis opened the door. "What are we all looking at?" Lapis asked.
"Lapis! Where were you?! Why weren't you at the barn the other day!" Peridot cried.
"I was flying around," Lapis said. "I flew out into the city. So what are we looking at?"
"A ship heading our way," Pearl said.
Suddenly the ship crashed, shaking the entire temple. Lapis flew outside, followed by everyone else. Everyone got ready to fight.
The door to the ship opened and out came- skinny Jasper.
"Jasper!" Steven shouted.
"H-hey? Amethyst I remember you!" Jasper said. She was a lot skinnier than the other Jasper. The corrupted one. "How have ya been?"
"Pretty good," Steven said. "How did you leave home world?"
"White Diamond wanted to shatter me, so, I left. I looked over the Earth to find you and I finally did," Jasper said. Then her eyes slowly drifted to Lapis. "Oh- who are you?"
"Lapis- Lapis Lazuli," Lapis said, looking away. "You're awfully skinny for a Quartz."
"Doesn't mean I'm not tough," Jasper said and laughed. The gem on her stomach sparked in the sunlight. She walked over to Amethyst and smiled.
"So where is the other runt Amethyst?" Amethyst asked.
Jasper frowned and rubbed her arm. "Well... Blue Diamond didn't approve of her. So she..."
"SHE SHATTERED HER?!" Amethyst cried.
"Yes. Almost a year ago actually. I'm sorry, we all tried to save her, but it didn't work out," Jasper said.
Amethyst froze in fear. "So does that mean I'm the only runt left?"
"I'm sure there's plenty more," Jasper said, and slowly walked away. "Hey look Lapis, our clothes are the same color."
Lapis rolled her eyes. Now, Lazuli's clothes were the same, but her skirt had many white stars, and her top had a small one in the middle of her chest.

"How about we fuse?" Jasper asked.
"Uh, no," Sapphire said.
"But I love fusing with new gems! How about you Lapis?" Jasper asked.
"Uh no, I'm taking a break from fusing. She also, I'm sick of Malachites," Lapis said.
"Why? You don't like the name?" Jasper asked.
"I hate Jasper's too!" Lapis snapped. "Don't you ever think I'm going to fuse with you!"
Jasper took a step back, then after a few silent moments, she approached Peridot. "How about you?"
"I'm not into fusing. I only fuse with Lazuli," Peridot said, and walked to the kitchen.
"I'll fuse with you!" Steven said.
Peridot grunted and watched the two laugh and dance. Peridot I wanted to grab Jasper and shatter her. But if I shattered her, Steven will hate me.

The fusion didn't work, they couldn't fuse. Whenever they did, they would pop out and fall on the ground. Peridot felt rage build up inside her every time they tried to fuse.
"Well, maybe because you're Part human?" Jasper asked.
"Maybe. It worked with Pearl, Amethyst, and Connie," Steven said.
Pearl. Right. They fused almost a year ago, they were rainbow Quartz but they looked different from the original.
This Rainbow Quartz had short orange hair and lighter skin. She only had two eyes though, they were both a light blue.
Sapphire opened the door to the temple and walked outside, but stopped when she saw Ruby. "What are you doing out here."
Ruby sighed. "Check your future vision and she what I'll tell you."
Sapphire rolled her eye. "Well, I can't right now."
Ruby grumbled and looked the other way. "I'm out here to be away from you. You ruined Garnet. You ruined us. And for what? Because you saw another..." then Ruby pushed herself on the railing. "Another Ruby."
Sapphire looked down at the water. "It wasn't my fault."
"You cheated! Just like how Connie is cheating on Steven!" Ruby snapped.
Everyone heard that, Steven, Amethyst, Pearl, Peridot, Jasper, and Lapis. Everyone walked outside.
"Well how would I know? I can't see the future!" Sapphire snapped.
"Well you shouldn't be able to! This is your punishment!" Ruby said.
"I'm tired of you thinking I ruined us!"
"You did!"
"No! You did when you shattered that other Ruby!"
"I was sick and tired of you being with her!"
"I loved her!"
"I loved you!"
And then everything went silent.
"What's going on?" Connie asked, walking up the stairs.
"PERIDOT!" Yellow snapped and ran out of the temple. She shoved her drone in Peridot's face. "YOU STOLE MY DRONE!"
"I know! But-"
"I told you this was serious! This isn't for taking pictures of Connie and Sour Cream!" Yellow snapped. "GOD I HATE YOU!"
"What?" Steven asked.
Yellow flipped around. "You aren't using my drone."
Connie sprang into action. "Me and Sour Cream? We were just talking about a project!"
"You don't go to the same school," Pearl said, clearly understanding what was going on.
"He knows more about science than I do!" Connie said.
Amethyst crossed her arms. "Looks like we've got a cheater on our hands."
Connie rolled her eyes. "Ok! So what? I was cheating, but after I get Pink Pearl's gem shards, Sour Cream and I will be happy!"
"W-what? Connie how could you?" Steven cried.
"Because I'm sick of not having a normal life! I don't want to be stuck with Crystal Clods all the time!" Connie snapped. "I'm getting a normal life."
"Fine! You don't need you! Leave!" Pearl snapped, who was obviously the most hurt.
Connie sighed and walked down the stairs and off the beach.
Steven ran back inside the temple and warped somewhere.

I warped to everywhere I could, but I didn't find Steven. I decided to warp to the place where Rose's fountain was. I walked to the fountain and luckily I found Steven.
He was talking to the statue of Rose.
"Uh Steven, you know that's not really Rose right?" Peridot asked, standing beside him.
"Yeah Peridot, I know," Steven said. "Mom would know what to do in this situation."
"J-just forget about Connie! She's obviously not worth it if she's cheating on you. And she wants you to feel like crap about this, so the only way to not have her get what she wants is to be happy and find someone else," Peridot said, slightly brushing her hair with her fingers.
I hope I look okay Peridot thought.
"I guess so," Steven said. "It was all so sudden, and we were so close."
"I know," Peridot said. "But everything happens for a reason." This all happened to bring us together Peridot thought.
"Well I hope I can find the reason," Steven said and walked back to the warp pad.
"Uh wait!" Peridot ran to Steven. "You know what you need? You need ice cream!"
"Ice cream?" Steven asked.
"Yeah! You said ice cream always makes you feel better!" Peridot said. "So maybe it will this time."

Steven didn't want ice cream. He just wanted to go home and rest. Peridot followed him home, and watched him sit near the window near his bed.
Suddenly, Lapis showed up.
"Hey Steven," Lapis said.
"Hey Lapis."
"So, are you okay after today?"
"I'm better," Steven said. "Thanks."
Lapis smiled. "I know exactly what will make you feel better!"
"What? A water slide?!" Steven asked.
"No, ice cream!" Lapis said.
Steven laughed. "I don't think any places are open now."
"There is, I made sure before I asked you," Lapis said.
"Well, okay then," Steven said. Peridot watched Lapis grab Steven's hands and she flew him away.
Peridot's heart sank like the titanic. Peridot squeezed her fists tight. He likes Lapis, Lapis is in the way, and it took Peridot this long to figure it out...
