Pearl placed the food on the table and smiled. Her checks blushed a light blue as she sat down. Steven immediately scarfed down all the food in literally one bite. Connie looked away, her eyes showing nothing but the look of tiredness.
Amethyst was finally sober, she was talking sober and actin sober. Peridot was happy Amethyst wasn't drunk right now, and she tried to savor the moment.
Pearl made meatloaf and broccoli, Peridot was never a fan of broccoli, but Pearl was a great cook, and Peridot could eat anything Pearl made.
That night, Peridot was about to leave, when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Peridot turned around and saw Amethyst. Amethyst was truly beautiful when she wasted wasted.
"Can we spend the only night I'll ever be sober?" Amethyst asked.
"Excuse me?" Peridot asked. The only thing that ran through her mind was like playing games and stuff. Not the dirty thoughts Amethyst was having.
"We can have some fun in my room," Amethyst said.
"Your room is a mess! And it smells," Peridot said.
Amethyst rolled her eyes. "You'll get used to it! Now can we have some fun? It's only a one time thing that we can both completely forget about."
Peridot sighed. The last time she's hung out with her was when Steven turned 15. "I guess so."
Amethyst laughed and grabbed Peridot's hand and pulled her to her room. Peridot was surprised her room didn't smell as bad as she thought it would have, even though there was nothing but garbage in here.
Peridot sat down on a small pile of tin cans and cursed under her breath. The cans crunched under her small bottom, but not as much as Amethyst.
"You should get your own room," Amethyst said. "So then you won't have to live in that lame barn."
"It's pretty nice," Peridot said. "Maybe you should clean up this room so you're not living in a dump."
Amethyst took no offense to it. "I like it this way."
Peridot rolled her eyes. "So how's your job going? Making some money?"
"A bunch. It's all over there," Amethyst pointed to a large stack of money. So much, if Peridot was a human, she'd knock out Amethyst and rob her blind. "Over 10,000, aren't you impressed?" Amethyst asked, rolling over on her side.
"Money doesn't impress me," Peridot said.
"Then what does?" Amethyst asked. "Nerd stuff?"
Peridot ignored Amethyst and stood up, but a powerful forced pulled her back into the pile of cans. Amethyst let go of Peridot and laughed. "You're so weak."
"Amethyst what are you doing?" Peridot snapped, getting out of the cans and standing up. "Don't do that!"
Amethyst laughed and stood up beside Peridot. "Maybe you should come."
"Come? Where?" Peridot asked.
"To my job," Amethyst asked.
"Why would I want to see you naked swinging around on a pole?" Peridot asked.
"Come on! All us gems are lesbians!" Amethyst said.
Peridot backed away. "What do you mean?"
"Pearl liked Rose, Pearl and I used to date. Ruby and Sapphire and in love- I mean... used to be. But the point, we're all basically gay?" Amethyst said.
"But I don't... I'm not really..." Peridot drifted off.
"What do you mean? Who boy do you like?" Amethyst asked. "Don't tell me it's Steven."
Peridot sighed. "It is."
Amethyst rolled her eyes. "Peridot listen. Every guy is the same, all they wanna do is shove their pixy stick in your fun dip and after that you're just a memory. You forget about you and go bang someone else."
"I thought you loved that," Peridot said. "And if that's all you see in boys, then quit the boy!"
"Oh please, just because boys are like that doesn't mean I'm not addicted to it!" Amethyst said. "Now come on, girls are so much better than boys. They are loyal."
Peridot took a deep breath and quickly stopped when she realized she let the stank of the room in her mouth. "But Steven isn't like that."
"He is! He just hides it," Amethyst said. "If you asked for the thing, he could totally do it and then forget about you. He'd act like he's never met you in his life and leave you in the dirt. You'd be nothing to him."
Peridot's heart sank when she heard that. All this time, that's who she was in love with? Someone who would ditch her? Maybe, for once, Amethyst was right. Steven, just like all the other boys, would leave her.
Amethyst grabbed Peridot and pulled her close to her. Peridot looked away from Amethyst and sighed.
"Come on, let's have some fun," Amethyst said in a low voice.
"I don't know what you mean," Peridot said. "I have to go anyway. Lapis must be wondering where I am," Peridot tried to think of any excuse to leave. But Amethyst wasn't giving up.
"That water chick can wait!" Amethyst said, blocking Peridot's path. "I promise you, tonight will be fun."
"And by your term of fun or my term?" Peridot asked.
"It'll be your term after tonight," Amethyst said and stuck her fist out.
"What are you doing?"
"Open your hand," Amethyst said, and dropped two pills in Peridot's hand.
"What are these?" Peridot asked, examining the small pills.
"It makes stuff more fun, and less boring," Amethyst said. "It wears off in a few hours though."
"I've never had a pill before, what do you do with them?" Peridot asked.
"You shove it up your butt."
"WHAT?!"
"I'm kidding! You swallow them," Amethyst took a pill from Peridot's hand and popped it in her mouth. Then she opened her mouth and the pill was gone. "See?"
Peridot put the pill in her mouth. She waited for saliva to build up in her mouth and she swallowed it. "So what going to happen?"
"You'll see. Just sit down and relax," Amethyst said.
"You're freaking me out," Peridot said.
And pretty soon, Peridot found her in the druggie world.
I'm sure you knew what Peridot and Amethyst did
Peridot opened her eyes, but everything was black. She felt cold and wet, like she was deep underwater. Peridot looked around, she could barley see her own hand in front of her.
"A-Amethyst? Steven? Lapis?" Peridot called, but the only answer she got was her own echo.
Peridot sighed and wrapped her arms around her body. Her arms were colder than the water around her. Peridot started to wonder if she was dead, were those pills Amethyst gave her poisonous? Peridot almost screamed when she heard a voice.
"You can't keep her trapped here forever..." a voice said from below. Peridot looked down. Nothing.
"I was planning to," the voice said.
Peridot swam down, and she stopped when she saw a large green monster, no, a fusion.
"Home world will shatter you when they find out what you're doing to me," the fusion said.
"They'll never find out! You're my prisoner forever!" The fusion shouted.
Peridot looked at the gem on her nose and back. Then Peridot froze. Was this Malachite? The fusion of Jasper and Lapis Lazuli- it can't be true. Malachite unfused years ago and Jasper is corrupted. So why is she here now?
Malachite grabbed a chain that wrapped around her leg and tugged on it. It exploded and Malachite was slowly lifted from the ground.
"NO!" the fusion snapped, it was Jasper.
Peridot heard Lazuli's laugh.
"Pretty soon, I'll be free!" Lapis laughed and grabbed at all the chains around her legs, and tugged on them until they broke. Now all Malachite had was the chain around her chest and her wrists. Malachite stopped and looked up at Peridot.
"Peridot?! What are you doing here?!" Jasper snapped.
"Lapis! Why are you fused with Jasper again?" Peridot cried.
"Because Jasper isn't corrupted," Lapis said.
Peridot woke up in a pile of garbage. And was naked. But it was better than being dead. Peridot got up, and saw Amethyst lying down next to her. Peridot lifted her fist up and slammed it down on Amethyst's stomach. Amethyst grunted and sprang up. But by the time Amethyst was fully awake, Peridot was gone.

"And than she told me that Jasper really wasn't corrupted. But I know she is, I saw her corrupted!"
"Maybe it was all a dream," Sapphire said.
Peridot knew Sapphire was depressed from her and Ruby's breakup. Sapphire haven't looked in the future for a while. She was blank.
"I'm going to check on Lapis," peridot said.
"I'll come with you," Steven said.
Peridot blushed and looked the other way.
"What else did Malachite say to you?" Steven asked.
"Jasper was the one trapping Lapis," Peridot said.

It was mostly quiet while they walked to the barn from the warp pad. Peridot didn't care that Steven was there, she was worried about Lapis.
"What if Lapis really is fused with Jasper? What if they never unfuse this time?" Peridot asked.
"We'll figure out a way," Steven said. "And Jasper is in a bubble, and unless someone popped her bubble, she shouldn't be free."
"I just don't understand. It felt much more like a dream. It felt like I was really there," Peridot said.
"Well what happened before your dream?" Steven asked.
Peridot took down at her feet. She knew if she told Steven she took pills, he wouldn't take this whole Malachite thing seriously. But Peridot wondered why Steven wanted to come. Was it because he was worried about Lapis, or he wanted to be with her. Soon her answer came.
"Connie is going away this spring," Steven said. "Do you remember hearing her talking about that she acts?"
"Acts?" But Peridot knew what Connie really meant. That she was going to be with Sour Cream the entire spring. "No, never."
Steven sighed. "She says she's going to this play all the way in Maine."
"She never told me about that," Peridot said. "How have you and Sour Cream been?"
"Distance," Steven said. "I saw him the other day, and he completely ignored me."
"He's an ass anyway," Peridot said. "What about Onion?"
"All he does is give me signs."
"Like what?"
"He pointed to Sour Cream and touched his heart."
Onion was trying to tell Steven Sour Cream was with Connie. Guess Peridot wasn't the only one that knew.
"You should try to understand what he's saying," Peridot said. "Maybe there's something wrong with Sour Cream and C- I mean..."
"What?" Steven asked. "Sour Cream and who?"
"It doesn't matter," Peridot said.
Finally they got to the barn and walked inside. "LAPIS!" Peridot called.
"Lapis isn't here, Peridot," a familiar voice said.
"Whose there!" Steven called.
A figure jumped down from the roof. Peridot's eyes widened and she took several steps backward. It just couldn't be, how is she here?
"Remember me, Peridot?" Pink Pearl said.
"Who are you?" Steven asked.
"I'm Pink Pearl! I used to belong to Pink Diamond," Pink Pearl said. "I was shattered and corrupted for centuries! And no one came to save me!"
"I- I thought Lapis did!" Peridot said.
"No! She saved Black Pearl and forgot about me!" Pink Pearl snapped. "You all forgot about me! Just like how you forgot Centi!"
"I never forgot Centi!" Peridot snapped. "She's in a bubble at the Temple!"
Pink Pearl froze. "The temple... it's still here?!" Then she pushed passed Steven and Peridot and ran to the temple. Pink Pearl ran to the warp pad and warped to the temple.
Peridot and Steven came seconds later.
"Who is this?" Amethyst asked.
"I'm Pink Pearl!" Pink said.
Yellow and Blue came out of their rooms, wide eyed when they saw Pink. "Pink! What the hell are you doing here?!" Yellow cried.
"Well we have all the Pearls now," Steven tried to make a joke. "Wait until Pearl finds out!"
"Actually..." Peridot drifted off. "Pearl tried to kill Pink."
"What? Why?" Steven asked.
Pink rolled her eyes. "I can't remember, I can't even remember most of my life from my corruption. But I know she hates me. If she sees me again she'll shatter me."
"We have to hide you then!" Ruby said. "You all know how Pearl is!"
"I'll ask Sapphire and see what Pearl will think of this," Amethyst said.
"She won't be any help," Peridot said. "She's frozen."
"Well maybe Ruby and Sapphire should stop being pussies and go back together!" Amethyst shouted.
"That's not the problem," Peridot said. "Let's just hide Pink for now."
