J A C K G I L I N S K Y:

"I don’t know what you want me to do Y/N"
“I just want the truth Jack, I just want the truth.”
I said pulling my hair in a messy bun rubbing my forehead.
“Why do you always think I’m lying?”
“Because Jack look at us!” I said motioning my hands between us.
Tears brimmed my eyes, I looked towards the floor suddenly interested in Jack’s hard wood floors.
Lately Jack and I have been fighting, this wasn’t the usual cat fights we had, they were getting worse every time he came home. It was like he didn’t want to be here in silly old Omaha, or near me. He was always unhappy, always in these terrible moods.
I didn’t even know he came home today, I wouldn’t have known if it wasn’t for JJ tweeting that he was home and going to take a nap. Can you believe it? I couldn’t either.
I didn’t know if I wanted to punch Jack or fall into his arms.
“Do you even want this Jack?”
I said looking up from the floor tears spilled from my eyes, I couldn’t control them. I wiped at my eyes with the sleeves of Jack’s sweatshirt.
Jack took a step forward but I quickly stopped him.
“Don’t.” I said sticking my hand out.
“Do you want this Jack? Because I can’t do this anymore.” I said letting my hands fall to my sides.
“I can’t. I can’t always sit at home and wonder what you’re doing or who you’re doing. I can’t act like it’s nothing when you forward my calls or ignore my FaceTime. I can’t walk around school acting like we’re okay and that we’re still the same because we aren’t. Jack this isn’t us.”
“This. Isn’t. Us.” I said motioning between us.
“I can’t do this anymore.” I said sniffling.
Jack’s face dropped, it finally hit him. From the look on his face I could tell my words hit him.
“What are you saying Y/N?” Jack spoke taking a step towards me, I watched as his Adam’s apple bobbed.
“I think it’s over Jack.” I mumbled looking down at the ground.
“Y/N you think it’s over?” Jack repeated. I could hear his footsteps come closer.
“You think it’s over?”
“Jack please don’t.”
Jack lifted my chin up with his finger making me look him in his eyes.
“It’s not over, it’ll never be over. I love you, I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” Jack said pulling me close repeatedly kissing my forehead.
“Jack don’t make this any more difficult than it already is.”
“It doesn’t have to be difficult. I’m not going anywhere. You’re not going anywhere it doesn’t have to be like this.”
“Jack I need to know you still feel the same.” I said choking back a cry, I looked into his glossy eyes looking for an answer, but all I saw was my own reflection.
“Y/N I love you more than anything in the world. You’re my sunshine on my rainy days, you’re my other half.”
“I don’t ever want to hear those words come out of your mouth again. We have a future ahead of us, a bright one I can see it.”
I wrapped my arms around his torso crying into his chest.
“I’m so sorry, I’ll fix it. We can work this out. It’ll be different I promise you. I won’t let this happen again.”
“Promise?” I said unwrapping myself from his body and holding my pinky finger up.
“I promise.” Jack said wrapping his pinky finger around mine.
“To the moon,”
“And back.” I finished off.
I love you to the moon and back.
