Adeline's POV

Knuckles hitting the door softly echoed through the hallway. "Young master, I have brought your afternoon tea." Sebastian's voice was the next thing that echoed through the hallway as I approached Ciel's office with some papers in hand. "Huh?" Sebastian frowning was the first thing that I saw when I stood in front of him. "What's the matter?" I asked the moment Sebastian opened the door. His eyes widened with surprise before returning to its normal size. I frowned and stepped inside the room. "Oh, bother." I said uninterested. Papers were scattered around the room caused by the air entering through the open window. Ciel was nowhere to be seen. "This is... Ah.. How terrible. Now the tea I worked so hard to prepare has become meaningless." Sebastian said. I let out a sigh as I looked at the papers on the floor. More bloody paperwork to order. "Adeline-." "I'll go tell Rosalie about it. She can handle it." Sebastian was cut off before he could say anything else.

Meanwhile...

"The backside of England's public, "The Order". Traitors will be bitten to death by our power. By the Queen's watchdogs. I have come to take over the dirtied part of the government that has spanned many generations. The evil royal family. How many streets' names have they been burdened with, and how many families have been crushed?" The sound of the cuban cigarette being cut, and the voice of the man were the only sounds heard. "Who would've thought that the president of the world's best toy factory is just a boy? Right?" The smell of the just lit cigarette started invading the room. "Ciel Phantomhive?" Asked the voice as said person looked up. Ciel had cuffs on his ankles and a belt that tied his arms close to his torso. His face was bruised, accompanied by a bloody nose and scratches here and there. "Looks can be deceiving. Well, it's oddly understandable that the king of a toy palace is a child." The voice spoke again. "It really was you." Ciel said as he glared at the man in front of him. "Ferro family... Azzurro Vener."

Adeline's POV

I walked out of the room and walked a few hallways until I opened the door of another room. Rosalie and Lucy, each was seating on a chair of the library with a book on their hands. Lucy was reading a novel by Charles Dickens while Rosalie was eyeing a book we both knew pretty well.

"Have you finished killing mice?" Rose asked without getting her gaze off the book making me let out a scoff. And this is my best friend..? Seriously... "Fortunately, that wasn't my job." I replied with a small smile. Rosalie frowned as she turned to look at me. A lot of names were written on the book with their belonging pictures.

"Ciel has being kidnapped." I said in a bored tone making Lucy drop her book. "What?" She asked with wide eyes. "I was saying this were too many men for a single day." Rosalie muttered as she stood up. "I'll go with Sebastian." She said equally bored. "Oh, my! I hope he is okay, please bring him back alive." Lucy said with concern in her eyes. "Sure, although, the situation isn't very promising." Rosalie said trying not to show a smile. "What...?" Lucy asked as she looked at us with wide eyes. Her expression full of fear was priceless. On the other hand, I didn't bother to hide my smile. Rosalie let out a small giggle as she looked at her. "It will be fine. Would you want to see if there is some spare cake at the kitchen?" Rosalie asked. Lucy's face struck with fear changed little by little into a happier one as she gave her a single nod. Lucy linked her arms with mine and Rosalie's earning a scoff from me as we walked out of the room.

Rosalie's POV

We kept walking down a hallway, Lucy's arms still linked with ours as we spotted Meirin running towards Sebastian who held the cake we were just looking for. "Se.. Sebastian!" Meirin yelled holding a letter as she ran to meet him. "Just now in the entrance hall, a letter-!" She said making Sebastian stop in his tracks. We were just at the corner of the hall since we were walking pretty slow for my liking but didn't complain. The three of us were focused on the conversation. "Who is it addressed to?" Sebastian asked. "Umm... It is addressed to 'Sir Ciel Phantomhive and Valet'... Gah!" We all saw how Meirin stepped on a thin cord on the floor making her lunge forward. Adeline and I stopped our tracks making Lucy stop too. All of a sudden, Sebastian bent back as the bullet grazed and cut a few stands of his hair. The loud clatter as Meririn fell on a soft surface made my eyes widen and my mouth open slightly. I heard a small scream as another bullet broke the window and passed by quickly. Adeline was looking at Meirin with a blank look, while Lucy was trembling a little and I had my mouth open still.

The thing was that... In the middle of all the commotion, Meirin had fell on top of Sebastian, the cake was nowhere to be seen. Sebastian turned to look at us. "Ladies, would you mind if-." Adeline didn't even let him finish as she cut him off. "No, I'm leaving." She said as she turned around, unlinking her arm in the process, and walking away. "W.. Wait!" Lucy said as she trailed behind Ad, unlinking her arm from me in the process. I huffed. Well, thank you... What a great pair... Of traitors! I turned to look at Sebastian who was now sitting with Meirin still on top of him. "Oh, dear!" She said as the cake fell perfectly on the tray Sebastian was holding. "Uhhh... Cake." I said eyeing the deliciousness as I was going to walk towards them but refrain myself and decided to wait for the perfect moment. "Meirin, is that the letter..." Sebastian started making me stifle a laugh at the girl's burning cheeks. "Right here!" She said really loud as she kept freaking out, with the letter in hand. He took it and opened it. "Mm.. What an undignified invitation." I heard him mutter as he read it.

"We've got your employer. You have what we want. Bring it to White Chapel on back's row."

Cute... I thought as I read the letter from the distance I was in. Suddenly, a loud set of footsteps made me look ahead. Baldroy and Finn were running towards them. "Hey! What the hell happened?" Baldroy asked. "Are you alright?" Finn asked as they saw the situation the pair were in. "Oh, it was nothing much." Sebastian said as he stood up, holding Meirin against his chest, making her blush harder, if it was even possible. "My apologies, everyone, but can I entrust the cleaning and supper preparations to you?" Sebastian said as he dusted off his clothes. Meirin was on the floor, dying from her blush. "... That's.. Fine... But...?" Baldroy asked but Sebastian didn't let him finish as he spoke. "I am running a bit of a minor business to take." Sebastian said as he walked towards Baldroy. I reacted quickly as I started walking forward. "After you finish, clean this too, please." Sebastian said as he was placing the cake in Baldroy's hands who was giving him an annoyed look. "I shall return before dinner time." Sebastian said as he held the silver tray between his side and his arm. "You mean you have to clean the..." Baldroy trailed as he looked down at the cake. His eyes sparkled as he smiled brightly. "Hey? Can I eat this...?" He asked but I was faster. My boots stepping on the carpeted floor in a quick step as I took the cake and left. "No, you won't." I said as I ran down the hallway and gave it to both girls. "Keep me some!" I yelled as I turned around from where I came from. "No." "Sure!" I heard both replies in the distance. I hurried and made my way outside since Sebastian was nowhere to be seen.
