Rosalie's POV

"Welcome to the Phatomhive Manor, ladies." Sebastian told us as we stepped out of the carriage and into a pathway that lead to an enormous mansion with an enormous garden around. "Please, follow me." The word snapped me out of my trance as we started walking inside. "Please wait here." Sebastian told us as we were standing on the main lobby. On the front where the main stairs that I'm certain would lead to another maze of corridors with rooms. I let out a heavy breath. It was going to take a while to learn all of these corridors. I looked straight again and was met with a pair of bluish green eyes. My eyes widened and I took a step behind. "Bloody hell..." I muttered under my breath as I put a hand on my chest. My unworking heart would surely pop out of my chest. "Ah, I am sorry I scared you. My name is Finnian, but you can call me Finny. I am the gardener." The blonde boy said once I looked up and straightened my posture. I looked at Lucy and Adeline. They were just as startled as me. In front of Lucy was a girl with maid clothes and ruby red hair. "My name is Meirin, I am the maid." She said as she hovered over Lucy. "He is Baldroy, the cook." Meirin said as she pointed at the blonde man standing in front of Adeline with his arms crossed and a cigarette in his mouth. Both of them were having a glaring contest. "Oh, you three are here." Sebastian said as he came out of nowhere. "I almost die." Lucy whispered. Adeline and I glanced at each other. If she only knew... "Sebastian, who are they?" Baldroy asked. "Oh, they will be working here as well." Sebastian said looking at us. "Rosalie." I said smiling. "Adeline." My friend said bored. "I am Lucy." She said still scared. "You three go back to your duties." Sebastian said referring to Finn, Baldroy and Meirin. "And you three, we need to find a job for you." He said observing us. "I can be a maid. It is an easy job." Lucy said out of nowhere. "Very well, then. What about you two?" He asked and we shrugged. "We could try and find the best that fits." I suggested in which they both agreed.

"I am so done." I said in between breaths as we were standing just outside the front door. "Me too." Adeline said breathing heavily. We both slid down the wall, sitting down with our backs against it. "This was easier said than done." She agreed at my statement. We were a mess as we had just run out of the kitchen. Our tryout of jobs did not go as expected. First off we started cooking. It didn't quite go well. Our clothes were dirtied with black smoke. The kitchen too, but we fled the crime scene before anyone arrived. Secondly, we tried setting the table. The result? A whole set broken. We also fled the scene. And thirdly we tried cleaning even though we refused at first. Oh, well. Too much soap and bubbles. "We are screwed." I heard Adeline said and I nodded softly. Yes, we were. "If we don't wake up tomorrow, it was great having you as a friend." I told her and she nodded. "Me too." She said. "I know." I said smirking and she scoffed. "Talk about modesty." She muttered under her breath making me laugh out loud. I stood up, brushing off the dust of my skirt and turned to look at my friend. I scoffed when I saw her arms stretched. I took her hands and helped her up. "Let's call it off for today. We'll try again tomorrow." Adeline said as she started walking around the garden. "Let's explore, then." I said walking next to her.

We eventually got to the main part of the garden, where Finn was working. "Ahh!" He yelled and I ran over to him. Adeline groaned behind me and started running too. "What is the matter?" I asked as he was kneeling down and crying a river. "I did it again!" He said and cried even more. "What?" I asked and he showed me the rose in his hands. It was broken in an odd way but it wasn't the only one. The whole set of pots had broken roses. "I tried to fix them and cut the overgrowing leaves!" He said in between loud sobs. I let out a sigh. I turned to look at Adeline. "Keep exploring without me. I'll fix this." I told her and she nodded uninterested, turning on her heels and leaving the main garden. I kneeled down next to Finn and took out his black gloves from his hands and put them on. I rolled up the sleeves of my black dress and started cutting and separating the complete roses from the broken ones. "H.. How?" Finn asked sniffling. "You have too much brute force, Finn." I said as I kept fixing unconsciously. "You can help me with the delicate work." He suggested. "I do not want to." I said and he looked at me wide eyed. "I will help you with the delicate work. How many plants have you killed, Finn?" I asked looking at him. He opened his mouth but before he could answer, I beat him to it. "Honestly, don't answer. I don't want to have that knowledge." I said and he gave a sad smile. "Thank you!" He said loudly and jumped, wrapping his arms around my neck. I patted his head and let out a small giggle. "It is nothing, Finn. I'm glad I actually found something I am good at." I muttered the last part. I was actually glad I did it. I don't know and I surely wouldn't want to know what would have happened if we didn't find a job.

Adeline's POV

I kept walking aimlessly around the manor. I let out a heavy breath that turned to smoke. I looked up at the sky. It was getting dark, I should probably head inside. I made a few turns and found myself walking inside the mansion. I kept walking aimlessly until I found myself in a study. A dark wooden desk was in front of me with a black chair behind it. There were a lot of books displayed in shelves on the walls. I kept looking around until my eyes caught the desk. A pen and ink were there with a stack of blank paper waiting for words to be scribbled down on it. I kept scanning the desk and my eye twitched. I instantly walked to the other end of the desk, where the chair was, and sat on it. I took the stack of documents in my hands and scanned them. "What is this? This isn't even in letter A. Who orders this? Is that what you call order? This isn't even signed! You cannot put paperwork in an alphabetical order all together! Which one is signed? Which one is not?" Words kept flooding out of my mouth as my hands started ordering all the mess of paperwork. My eyes kept scanning each document, ordering it by alphabetical order, date and if it was signed or not. I ended up with at least twenty subdivisions of documents. I smiled victoriously until another stack of papers where thrown on the desk. "Hey! What in bloody hell? Can't you see I'm-?" I looked up and stopped talking when I saw a smirking Ciel. My eye twitched and I glared at him. "Ordering it? Yes." He said looking around the room, where I had put all the divided paperwork. The floor, the furniture, papers were everywhere, stacked neatly in a pile. "This helps me to keep order and not get behind paperwork due. This will be your job from today on." He said and turned to look at me. I pushed up my glasses with my index finger. The first time I did that, I poked my eye. I thought I would get blind from the force I used. "As your secretary?" I asked and cringed at the name. "Call it as you want. You will come here to put order on my paperwork every day." "Fine then, brat." I said and smirked slightly. "What did you say?" He asked in an angry tone. "Me? You must be mistaken, I didn't say anything." I said trying to replace my smirk with sweet smile. Ciel glared at me suspiciously. I stood up from his chair and circled the desk from one side. I passed next to Ciel and smirked.

This kid was surely a brat.

A rich brat, though.
