Rosalie's POV

"You took long enough." I heard Adeline say.

"My apologies, I was dealing with something." I said glancing at Lucy who was perfectly hidden in the shadows. "Let's just finish and go back as soon as possible." Adeline said making me smile. "Looking forward to it." I said and took another arrow. This time I aimed at the man. Adeline and him started using their knives against each other. This man's speed was not human like. Well, neither Adeline's or mine, so who am I to blame?

I shot the arrow when he was in the air and it pierced his arm. His eyes widened as he looked at me. The arrow vanished again but the wound was there. He landed and threw me a knife. The knife's speed was too fast that I had just moved when it passed, getting to graze my cheek and cut it. I stretched my hand and caught it, making my whole palm bleed through the black glove. I opened it and recognized it as Adeline's. "I believe this belongs to you." I told her giving her the knife. "Thank you." She muttered under her breath but I heard her perfectly.

I looked up and before I could move, another knife pierced my left arm. "Oww!" I yelled as I looked at the wound. "Didn't your master told you to throw things at people when they are actually looking?" I asked and shook my head. He smiled. "I apologize. I am just one hell of a butler." I smirked. Adeline let out a heavy breath. I took out the knife from my arm and walked towards him. He was smirking too. The boy nowhere in sight. "I have a full understanding of the actual situation." The royalty had slipped out of my mouth. It happened when I tried to discuss situations out. "You do?" He asked and I nodded.

I turned to look at Adeline. Behind her were the boy and Lucy speaking. The boy was standing across Lucy as she wiped away a few tears. "I am afraid we cannot make display the boy's soul." I told Adeline and she gave me a questioning look. "Why not?" She asked, her tone laced with sadness and boredom. Almost as if a kid had gotten confiscated their favorite toy. "It is already sold." I said and she let out a small scoff and a whine. If I didn't know this girl, I couldn't be able to say that she made a small pout. "Curse my life." She muttered under her breath. I turned to look at the man again and held the knife from the blade, leaving the handle free. I stretched my arm for him to take the knife. "I believe we acknowledge each other's nature." I said as politely as I could. In all honesty there was no nice way to say what we were. "Yes, we do." He said taking the knife from the handle and keeping it somewhere. "Since you are on duty, we could make a deal." I heard Adeline say. She was standing by my side with a smug grin on her face. I am not sure if I'm liking where this is going... "A deal?" He asked confused yet with curiosity. "Yes, a normal deal." She said and I frowned. I couldn't help but being intrigued by it, though. "We go with you. You and your master give us shelter and food." Adeline said. "In exchange of you working in the manor and acting as bodyguards. I am quite impressed by your abilities, ladies." He said. "Sounds good to me." Adeline said.

They were going to shake hands.

"Wait." I said and they both looked at me. "The girl behind us is coming, too. Besides giving us the things mentioned, you won't keep control of where we are all the time and it won't be questioned either. You will let us fulfill our duties as reapers freely. We won't interfere unless it is very necessary. We won't recognize any absurd authority. And last but not least. Not in bloody hell, we will be maids." I said and he smirked amused. "Well, that is a real deal for you." Adeline said also amused. "Very well, then. As you wish, ladies." He said and we shook hands to seal the deal. "Good, my name is Rosalie Strauss." I said smiling after we shook hands. "Adeline Engel." She said indifferently. "Call me Sebastian Michaelis." He said. "Sebastian!" The three of us turned to look at the boy. "Yes, my lord?" Sebastian asked. "We are taking this girl with us." He said gesturing towards Lucy with his cane. "Yes, my lord. I am afraid these young ladies come with the girl, my lord." He said. The boy pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance. "Whatever. You will give them something to take care of at the manor." He said. "Yes, my lord." Sebastian said. "Let's go back. That's an order." The boy said. "As you wish, my lord." Sebastian said bowing down. "Please follow me to the carriage, ladies." He said to the three of us. I looked at Adeline.

Well, that went better than expected.
