Kisame turned pale. Namika was a tamer... His hands started trembling as he fell back in his chair. He didnt know what hurt more: His mark or the fact that his favorite student was the one who would enslave him.
- Namika isn't aware of her ability to control you. She doesn't even know her real last name. Her mother however is aware of the circumstances. That's why she hired you as a bodyguard in the first place. Now go. Teach that girl everything you know. And make sure the bond between her and you gets stronger...
- I have to sacrifice my freedom ... So the village can MAYBE have a super weapon?
Tsunades eyes narrowed dangerously.
- she has to be protected and she has to emboss herself completely on you. Only then she can unfold her true power swell as you.
Kisame swallowed. He stood up walking insecurely towards the desk on which Tsunade sat.
-what if I don't want to give my freedom?!
His voice was aggressive and intimidating but Tsunade didn't care.
-THE PRICE OS TOO HIGH. Nobody can take my freedom from me.
Tsunade jumped up smashing her hand on the desk.
- ITS YOUR DESTINY! And besides that if you disobey me I will have you locked away in the darkest prison cell of our entire village. Your freedom will be bound but in retun you get to feel the bond and you will be happy with it like so many men before you.
Kisames gums moved, showing his teeth. Either he would be locked away or be Namikas shark.
-I'm NOT A PETSHARK! I dont want to be a slave! I won't be! I will never be!
He screamed his grey blue face turning red-ish.

- I like her better than others. FINE. But that doesn't mean I will walk one step behind her obeying her.
- YOU WILL OR I WILL MAKE YOU REGRET IT! So many Shinobi sacrifice their life's for this village. You basically agreed to this deal the day you became a Shinobi.
Tsunade bellowed. There was nothing more to say. This was the moment where his freedom ended forever. He tried to take it cool and turned around. Like in trance he walked to the door. He would find a solution. He'd have to find a way to get around this.
-one more thing... Just to be sure.
Kisame turned around. Shizune and Tsunade stood there, a piece of paper in their hands... Tsunade performed a few hand signs and there it was, the tongue locker. Kisame moaned as the black ink placed itself on his tongue.
-you know how it works. One word about Namikas clan and you will suffer unimaginable pain. And we will be alarmed....
Kisame touched his stinging tongue carefully with his fingertips. He looked up at Tsunade.
- you won't win. You can't force me to accept the bond. You can lock me away and torture me but I will not give up my freedom. I will be her bodyguard but I will not allow her to strengthen the bond. I won't submit to anybody!

He glared at the two women for a few seconds, then he whirled around and walked out of the room. As soon as he left the building he ran as fast as he could. He couldn't think he just knew he had to run out of that building as fast as possible. He ran trough the streets not knowing where to go, his thoughts circling around Namika and Tsunade.
A while later he found himself on training field beside the river. Without thinking he jumped in it and let himself sink down to its ground. He closed his eyes, feeling the comforting water all around him and he tried to think noting for a while. In this water nobody could see or hear him and so he wasn't ashamed to let his tears flow along with the rivers water. A servant. That's what he was now, imprisoned by the person he liked the most. It was true. He had felt the bond from the first moment he had seen her. All this time he couldn't admit it. Not even to himself but Namika was the only human he felt like he could open up to. She seemed to understand him. And she seemed to like him. When he thought of Namika he felt warm and protected, as if nothing bad could happen to him as long as she was around... Sure she was just a fragile woman who needed to be protected... but after all her jutsus were amazing and her river blades too. One day she  would be even better than he himself. But why did he have to serve her. And then that moment she had layed her hands on his wound... The pain was big but he had felt her chakra, her warmth entering his body and filling him with a golden feeling of hope and peace. A feeling he had forgotten so long time ago. A feeling he had been searching... And when she laid on him ordering him to hug. He had never felt anything like this ever before: as if her body was a part of himself... He could feel her heart beat and her emotions. He could feel her and it was amazing but it was only a feeling after all. A feeling like hate, love, pain... Sure it was stronger but was it really worth his life? Bound to her forever just to feel this again and again?! Protecting her, fulfilling all her wishes... Never going on missions alone again without her permission... Never going on a trip to the land of mist without her by his side... It wasn't fair. His own freedom for the sake of the village and his payment a feeling?! Kisame was still quite shocked and his tongue hurt from the locker. His abdomen stung of the symbol... He just wanted to stay in his river forever. Suddenly a feeling of warmth overcame him. A feeling that comforted him... Was it the water? No. Kisame felt chakra. However it had that calming, loving effect on him like water, even stronger than water. He opened his eyes. There was a shadow right above him. Somebody was on the water. Kisames heart started beating faster. Was there an enemy? He let the river carry himself down a few meters... Then, hidden behind some rocks he climbed out of the water. There was the shadow... It ... Danced? Kisame couldn't believe his eyes. It was Namika, standing on the river she tried to cut water drops and she had improved. Her movements were faster and much more precise. Kisame slowly went up the shore trying not to scare her. But even before he could say a word Namika turned around.
-good evening Sensei
She waved her hand and walked over to her Sensei. Kisame felt unable to move. This young girl. She was his destiny and he had to protect her no matter what... But at the same time her wellbeing had a high price.
-you shouldn't go out alone in the evening. And besides that you will catch a cold if you dance too long in the moonlight.
Kisame stretched out his hand to help. Namika took his hand and stepped in the sand. She giggled.
- you don't catch a cold either do you?! you are totally wet...
Kisame couldn't help but grin. In fact he had had a cold once... When he was young boy. But it was true he haven't had a cold since. Both walked home in silence. Namika thought of her technique and Kisame thought of his lost freedom and his talk to Tsunade. Maybe he was still able to escape? Maybe he could destroy the bond? But how?!
-Sensei? Are you ok? I mean what did the medical ninjas say. You seem so... As if something wasn't quite alright.
Namika looked up at Kisame. His eyes expressed fear and pain while the rest of his face was emotionless.
-no I'm ok.
He answered and smiled. But Namika felt it was a lie. Kisames Heart stung thinking that this cute girl was his enemy number one now. He couldn't stand the thought, that this girl, the girl he liked so much, was the one who would take away his freedom unwillingly. She cared about him. She liked him, maybe even loved him? Actually he should feel lucky to be loved by such a beautiful, good woman. As a monster this was the best he could have ever hoped for. Carefully she grabbed his arm. He seemed to be deep in sad thoughts and so she wanted to cheer him up a little.
-Sensei? This weekend is the Festival of thousand Lanterns... I wondered if we could go there?! My mother always forbid me because ... Well it's in another village and she was afraid something might happen but... I guess with you as my bodyguard...
Namika didn't end her sentence. Kisame already nodded. They reached the house and went inside, taking off their shoes. Kisame had now a room beside Namikas room. They walked the stairs standing in the corridor. Namika didnt want to leave him. Kisame didnt want to let go of her hand.
-good night Sensei
Namika smiled. Kisame looked down at her, his face emotionless. Then he suddenly grabbed her and pulled her close hugged her tightly. Namika was very surprised. A good night hug?! That was new. Did he... Feel the same way as she did? Did Kisame maybe... Also have a crush on her?
Namika placed her arms shyly around his waist, laying her head on his plexus. He was so tall, towering over her, hugging her.
-you improved in your sword technique. Tomorrow we will train together.
Kisame whispered pressing her to his body more tightly. His hand cupped her head. It felt amazing. Simply amazing. Then he let go of her. In the dim light she was so beautiful as she looked up to him with her big shining eyes. He couldn't resist. He stretched out his hand, running his fingers through her hair. He couldn't hold back. As ifs hand was driven by some emotion he always encaged. He was happy being with her. She was his water on land. finally he whispered
- go to sleep. You will need your power.
He couldn't believe himself what he did there. This man wasn't Kisame! A man who hugged and caressed a girl?! That wasn't him at all! He swallowed feeling the stinging pain in his abdomen.
Namika fell asleep fast but Kisame was awake for many hours. If caressing and hugging her made the burned mark sting... Would hurting her make it disappear? Or at least weaken it? Kisame tried to picture Namika in pain but he couldn't. He decides to try it out. Maybe rip out some of her hair "by accident" or make her fall over her own feet? Or maybe a small scratch or a punch during training... Kisame wasn't sure. The thought of hurting Namika made his heart sting even harder than his mark. But after all it was his freedom. No mark, no prison. Maybe he could be free... And run away... Kisame stayed awake nearly all night thinking about Namika and his own behavior. He didn't change... Only his attitude regarding Namika changed... He was only tender and tame for her for the rest of the world he was still a terrifying beast. Was it her eyes that takes the beast in him? Her gentle warm touch or maybe her beauty?! She really was a true Tamar and one moment Kisame pictured himself being her tamed shark man... He wouldn't change at all but for her he would be nice and kind... Kisame lost himself in that feeling... The feeling of being Namikas sharkman... Thinking about it he fell asleep.

The next morning Namika jumped out of her bed before the sun rose. She ate quickly and then ran out to the river starting her training. Kisame was there already. He was quite surprised to see Namika at that early time of the day. They started training. Kisame seemed to be an entirely different man. He talked more politely... Nearly friendly and also didn't avoid any contact anymore. Kisame tried his best to give Namika the feeling of being well protected and he lost himself in the feeling again and again. He felt happy and incredibly well but then again his brain gave td him he was being more and more like a tamed shark and then again Kisame suppressed the good feeling trying to be his old self with a heart filled of darkness, hate and revenge. Finally the time arrived. During the swords training he got her: a small scratch across her arm. The moment he cut her he felt his heart ache. He was evil. She was so innocent and now he had done it: he hurt her. She would have pain because of him. Kisame dropped his blade, and hugged her Immediately. Namika didn't seem to care for the scratch. Kisame was scared. He knew his heart would break if she started crying. His hand searched its way to her scratched arm. Like in trance he cupped the sound with his palm.
-does it hurt very much?
Kisame asked trying to hide his interest and breathes pain. Namika shook her head.
- you had much worse wounds. I want to be like you! I will be fine.
She smiled. Kisame didn't listen to her. Looking at her wound he tried to feel if his mark stopped stinging. But he wasn't able to feel wheather it stung or not because his heart ached only looking at Namikas blood. He smelled it, he felt it... And his heart burst. He couldn't help but hug her trying to comfort her. It was like a trance, he couldn't control his actions anymore, however he felt he did the right thing. The bond became stronger. Kisame made her sit down. He cared for the wound as well as he could feeling blanc regret. He bandaged the arm. this had really been evil of him but it also showed him to his own horror how much the bond had already taken over his thoughts and emotions. He was in love. He loved her unconditionally. He'd have given his life for her... He'd have suffered for her, died for her, killed for her...  but he wouldn't have given his freedom.
The more Namika liked him the more visible the mark became. Kisame saw this connection soon. Namika seemed to have fallen in love with him. The way she looked at him and the way she cared for him, asking again and again how he felt... Maybe... If she stopped liking him... Maybe it would disappear? Maybe he would be able to flee leaving her behind... Then however he felt at the same time that he had fallen for her too... At least a little. Hurting her was something he just couldn't get himself to do. Maybe he could run away and she would forget him?!
Kisame thought a lot about Namika. She was so young... Only 18 and he was 27... She was a near perfect girl and he was a terrifying monster with many scars and a dark heart. He was evil... But somehow she was able to make his small good side dominant over his big dark side. Kisame caught himself pitying Namika... There were so many handsome men out there. Why did she have a crush on an evil demon shark man?! She was way too tender and good for him... And he was more of a loner anyways. Maybe she could fall in love with a handsome Shinobi and the bond would weaken by that?! A terrible idea found its way in his thoughts keeping him awake every night. What if she fell for another and the bond stayed as strong? He would be damned to love her forever, see her kissing another, see he loving another, biting his tongue to not scream his love confession right in her face. he'd hold her baby... with another man, he'd protect it as if it was his. Bound to her he'd suffer endlessly seeing her loving another. Bound to her he'd besamend to stay and see her love another every day. Kisame didnt remember well whether this was a known phenomenon since ha had been found when the tragedy with the Tamar murder happened. However it seemed logic to him that Namika would love another, handsome, tender man more than him. She would break his heart. Better he did this himself. Better he'd break his own heart before she did. It would hurt less. Kisame thought a lot about the possibilities he had to escape his duty. Kisame planed it all in detail. Each day he thought "today is the day. Today I will do it" but then he saw her and she was so nice, training with him, following his orders, bringing him some tea and cookies or simply playing flute or walking beside him. Kisame felt like he had a split personality. One part wanted to stay with Namika and do whatever she needed... Another part wanted his freedom. He wanted to escape to situation and go back to be his old self. He had to end this cbefore Namika took over all his thoughts and emotions. He had to stop her. Today was the day of the festival of thousand lanterns. And today he would do it.
