About children who are drafted into the "New world" military. Small kids and older kids are drafted, used almost as a pity bait, population control, etc.

Kids, ages 2-17, are forced to be soldiers, practically brain washed, not remembering their country or any important details in case of capture, etc. All they know how to do is fight and they are told to fight to save their families.
Maybe a group of adults take a group of kids prisoner (rescue?) and bring them to reality, trying to turn them back against the government who did this to them and their families.
Whether they actually turn against the government, stay brainwashed and turn against their rescuers, or maybe rebel and become their own thing, is up to you. But if they do rebel, what happens when they aren't kids anymore? Do they continue brainwashing? There are lots of possibilities.
