You collect "appearances" by buying clothes in second hand shops, but up to now it was just a game for you. Then you find something very special...

"I call them my sparklers. They are lit,
and erupt in a burst of sparks and heat.
You draw pictures with them in the sky,
and burn the memory into you. But all
too soon, they dim and go out."
