The moon was full, shining in the dark skies of the night. Although the gray clouds tried to block the moon, it shone brighter nevertheless. Distant hoots of owls and howls of wolves echoed through the quiet, dark forest with trees rustling lightly and pushed over by the wind.

It was past midnight, and all the campers were asleep, leaving the camp abandoned to the winds and creatures of the night. The windows of the cabins were out of light, revealing the resting, innocent faces of campers, but one.

Leo.

He was staring into the endless abyss of darkness from the framed glasses that looked over the inky forest. He froze in his place, unable to move a muscle and his breath hitched in his throat.

"I think there's a monster under my bed." He breathed. Horrified, he yanked his bed sheets to cover his head when he heard a stirring coming from just under his bed.

It stirred again, the bed twitching and creaking from the weight underneath it. Leo caught a hand in the dark crawling up and clutching the side of his bed as it slowly made its way to his exposed body.

"I'M SCARED!" He screamed, slapping the foreign hand away from him and pulling his warm blanket around himself to shield himself from any harm that might hurt his scrawny figure.

"That's me, you idiot. We share a bunk bed, remember?" You sighed exasperatedly, giving the top bed a light kick of annoyance as you shifted onto a more comfortable position to sleep on.

"Oh, right. Good night, (Y/N)." Leo sighed, relieved to hear your soft voice comforting him even though you sounded so done from the antics he frequently pulled.

"Night." You muttered tiredly, slipping back into your deep slumber.
