13. Company dinner

I sigh, shrugging on my printed blazer and buttoning it up before shoving my fingers through my hair, more because of frustration rather than trying to tame it down.

I feel rather bad about my bad attitude towards the whole dinner thing but I really can't help it. Chelsea's colleagues can take it pretty far sometimes and I really don't wish to make a dick out of myself tonight.

My phone vibrates on the dresser in front of me, indicating I've got a text. I pick it up, smiling slightly as I see Niall's name across the slider bar.

Good luck tonight ;) don't let those preppy assholes get to you okay? :) call me if you need me to get you away from there 🙈 xx

Haha, I won't xx and thanks for your offer, Ni, but I can't possibly leave Chels here. I'd just have to suck it up. I type back.

I spritz on some cologne before I check the time, to see that it's about 6.14. I'll have to pick Chelsea up by 6.30 so I'm sort of rather late.

I quickly jog down my flat towards my car, slumping slightly in my seat, not making an effort to start the car, hoping to delay as much time as possible from going to this dinner.

I pick up my phone, to see another message from Niall.

Yeah, I understand, it would kind of be a dick move if you do leave Chelsea back there, haha. but I'm still gonna keep the offer open yeah? In case it gets too much xx

Thanks Ni 😚 was all that I sent before I'm slowly driving towards Chelsea's place. 

The drive to Chelsea's place has never felt faster. I sigh softly before getting out of the car, and walking up to her flat.

I ring her bell a few times before it swings open and I'm left awe-struck. She's in a baby blue dress that hangs off her shoulders and ends just slightly above her knees. Her dress isn't as bright as Niall's eyes though.

It's funny because ever since I've realised how beautiful Niall's eyes are, I can't seem to get them out of my head. His eyes are just that mesmerising.
