I saw a form in the darkness, swiftly moving towards me. I crouched down hoping to minimize my presence.

It must have noticed that I saw it because it had stopped moving. I could hear a soft hissing from it. Then it started backing up.

I raised my R and contemplated shooting it, but I couldn't bring myself to. Something I would regret many many years later.

"What was that?" I mutter.

You're lucky I turned the device off, otherwise they would have seen that.

Did it send anything else?

Well, it malfunctioned and I may have sent some memories too.

Which ones?

From the battle.

Well, at least they'll see what we're up against. And that they can be killed.

"Jesus christ, is this the only footage, or anything for that matter that we have from the One Day War?"

"Yes, it is sir." said Ankart.

"Damn, should we rescue him?"

"I'd highly recommend agaisnt it sir. He may have information but we'd risk more lives than what he is worth." Ankart answered.

Something overcame me, a voice so powerful I couldn't resist it. Rescue him! Do it, rescue him.

"Despite that, we are rescuing him."

Ankart suddenly paled and backed up a foot or two.

"What's wrong general?"

"N-nothing."

"Hmm, contact admiral Shinalo and coordinate a rescue mission."

"Yes sir!"

He saluted and walked off at a brisk pace.

Now to figure out what that voice was.
