AN: I think the above shows what's in store. Enjoy :)

Harry...

I don't think there was ever a time that could equate with the hard pounding on my chest right now. I'm even surprised I could think straight while listening to the conversation playing out before me. I do admit to have been creeped out at a time or two as this Adam guy talked. But I knew I had to keep my wits intact in order to get Selena out of this unharmed, which I think is why she opted to do this in the first place.

For the seven minutes I've been listening. I was able to deduce a few things.

One, he has been stalking her

Two, he was inside her house

Three, he was a cable guy that's recently been assigned to Selena's neighborhood, hence his familiarity with the area, it's landscape and security details.

I'm not sure if Selena's been aware of his presence before this night but I knew she'd tell me if she was. Right?

Though bothered by that thought, I let it sit at the backburner for the time being. I had more pressing matters to attend to. The driver didn't complain when I borrowed his phone to contact Aleen and informed her of the situation, telling or better yet ordering her to call the police.

For now I know, there was nothing left for me to do than to wait and listen to this stranger confess his fixation for my girlfriend.

A task I never considered I had to do but didn't make it any less terrifying.

(o)

"Harry no, we have to wait."

I heard Aleen shout as she and the police pulled up on the curb. We arrived in each other's tails but I didn't bother waiting. I didn't want to wait anymore.

The car wasn't even to a full park yet when I sprang out of it and jogged, Aleen spotting me on the door of Selena's house.

I didn't even try to come up with an explanation why I had a key to her home. My baby's safety was priority and I'll deal with the suspicions I've triggered later. Aleen cursed behind me as she probably figured I had no intention of answering her. Instructions from the police rang through the air but I didn't even pause. They needed to catch up.

Taking two steps at a time on her staircase, I mentally braced myself on what to expect. Though the call that was still playing on a low volume inside my coat pocket informed me they were still talking and by the same intonation and pitch of Selena's voice, nothing has happened...yet.

Landing in front of her door, I didn't pause the slightest bit to consider anything else, the only compensation I could gather being the police on my heels.

Selena's gasp of surprise and unmistakable relief was the first thing I noticed. Seeing her standing at the foot of the bed hit me so hard I didn't know what to feel and do first – relieved to see her seemingly unscathed, check her for any possible harm, embrace her or search for the culprit of our distress. I went for the third one and didn't even notice the police scrambling into action the moment I stepped in and drew her into my arms. Her arms instantaneously went around my waist but other than that she lay unmoving on my chest. I placed a kiss on the top of her head, needing to feel her as much as protect her. My eyes on its own accord darted around the room and found the Adam guy standing at the side of the bed with three officials attending to him. One was cuffing him, another pointing a gun at him while reciting his rights. At first I didn't recognize what the third one was doing, but once I realized he was tying the sheets to Adam's waist made my blood run cold. Very cold.
