There's 2-3 chapters after this and then sayonara peeps.

I have noticed that not many people have been voting on the book now, and I would like to encourage everyone of my readers to help me complete this book with a BANG!!

Enough of me ranting? Fine then!

Please enjoy the chapter.

~~CHAPTER 57: MEMORIES~~
Song suggestion| 1st half: lullaby in chap. 2nd half: Baatein Yeh Kabhi Na

Jiah's POV:

I had just parked the car in the driveway when I thought about all that jas happened. I finally let my tears get the best of me.

Memories started flooding my eyes. Our marriage, engagement, the rituals, our anniversary, the day I first met him, the last words he spoke, echiong in my ears.

"I promise"

It was all there, clear in front of my eyes. Every single moment.

I clenched my eyes close, and buried my face in my hands trying to hide from the world. My family had tried to console me, but I told them to stay away from me because I needed to gather myself and control my emotions.

I needed time, I needed space, but will it ever be enough to forget Armaan?

I was tore apart from my rhoughts when my one-day-old son let out a cry. I think he might be hungry. I don't know really, it's a bit being a first timer.

I picked my son up from the car seat Armaan's parents had bought for us. He was covered in a pure white baby blanket and was making both my ears and heart stop working.

I love this feeling of a mother, but I am no longer a wife.

I am now a widow.

A widow?

Fresh tears filled my eyes, but I controlled them because I need to get a grip on myself and think things through for the sake of Jahaan, and his upcoming life.

I headed inside with my baby in my arms.

《●■♡■●》

I decided to sing a lullaby to Jahaan after feeding him, so he could go to sleep peacefully.

I sang a lullaby my mum used to sing to me and which held a lot of value in my heart.

Aa leke chalun tujhko

Ek aise desh mein
Aa leke chalun tujhko
Ek aise desh mein
Milti hain jahan khushiyan
Pariyon ke bhes mein
Milti hain jahan khushiyan
Pariyon ke bhes mein
Pariyon ke bhes mein..
Aa leke chalun tujhko

Ho chand chahe aadha
Ho phir bhi roshni

Ho chand chahe aadha
Ho phir bhi roshni
Ummeed jo na chhute
Har baat hai bani

Raaton ke sur se nikle
Subah ki raagini
Lori tujhe sunaun
Lori tujhe sunaun
Bachpan ki ek main
Lori tujhe sunaun
Bachpan ki ek main
