They were joined at an ice-cream shop by Mana Kirihara and Tomonori-Sensei. After introductions and ice-cream orders, they all sat around a table to talk.
"So," Bella started in "Jake... You started talking about your family, right? We haven't heard much about you, yet."
"Oh, yeah," Jake nodded "Lawrence, my brother. Not really much to say about him."
"Why not?" Bella questioned "If I were you, I'd totally want to talk about my sibling!"
"I guess it's a good thing you aren't me, then," Jake smiled, sadly, and then changed the subject "So... We have a wish token to find."
"Wish... Token?" Sensei looked up, startled.
"Yeah," Anna-Beth nodded "You have one?"
"I just might," he nodded, standing up to go "Wait here... I'll go get it."
"Dammit," Jake muttered, under her breath.
"Now that that's settled," Bella transitioned "Spill it, Jake."
"Fine," she grumbled "When I was really little, my mom was murdered, except we didn't find her body for about two years and, as it turns out, my dad killed her. He was insane, you see, and if it hadn't been for his friend, Miles Edgeworth, I would have been murdered, just like my other siblings. Anyway, Edgeworth took me from Ireland and we moved to America. I lived with them for a few years, met a guy, you know... Stuff normal kids do. It was all going as normal when my twin brother, who was supposed to be dead, showed up out of nowhere, but turned out to be terminally ill. That's how my life was going until I entered this turn-about."
"Wow," Anna-Beth blinked, taken aback "Just... Wow."
"'M sorry I asked," she hesitated, and then remembered something "Wait a minute! Is that why you wanted to collect more than one token per person? So you could use one for your brother and get back home?"
"Actually," Jake rubbed the back of her neck "I don't think I'm going to go back to my world."
