10. Party Introduction

ReplyText: Oh of course as long as my phone is good your's is too. But I have to warn you, your girlfriends have missed you quite a bit. I've been tempted to send them a picture of a glass of water b/c they seem very thirsty!

   I can't help the smile that spreads on my face when he replies back quickly. I swear sometimes I don't even want to give him his phone back. He's quite entertaining and not scary at all over a text.

ViaText:  Well whoever 'MyLovely' is has been blowing up your phone, Ebony. Guess you aren't just a pretty face, becuase he keeps asking for your help. Like he doesn't know the number for 911. 

     My lovely was actually Kinzy, and I quickly began wondering what had happened. I got up fast and hurriedly threw on clothes. I was hoping it was nothing, but what if something had happened to her. 

ReplyText: Would you stop calling me Ebony? And don't switch this around on me.

    I put on a quick outfit and was out the door damn near jogging to my car. What if something had happened with Jyrell's work and he'd gotten Joshua and Kinzy caught up in it? After all these streets were lethal. Most people went for who mattered most to you all the time, and in Jyrell's case that would be Kinzy and Joshua! I jumped into my ride and pushed eighty all the way to Kinzy's house. When I pulled up I saw only Kinzy's car in the driveway. I grabbed the gun Kollins had gotten me, that i'd never used, and my spare key. I looked around for a car on this street that didn''t look familiar, and saw none. I quickly undid the lock and walked in with my gun up and ready. I sighed in relief and dropped my aim when I saw Jyrell and Joshua watching Turbo on tv. Joshua just loved racing movies!

      I quickly put my gun behind my back when they looked up, and I smiled widely as if I didn't just barge in. "Nanny," Joshua excalimed getting up and running to me. I hugged him with one arm and kissed his chubby cheeks. "Hey Joshy, are you being good," I asked? "Yeah, daddy's babysitting while mommy goes to her job," I gushed at the cute way he said that and held in a giggle. "Kinzy went to an interview. I'm watching little man until she get's back. Joshua, go sit down and let me talk to your nanny," Jyrell said makng me swallow hard. Oh God, what if he found out what I did? Jyrell is far from stupid, what if somehow he put two and two together? 

    He pulled me by my arm into the kitchen. "You want something to drink," he asked? "Uh no I was just a little worried about Kinzy is all. I haven't heard from her lately," I said, watching as he got a bottle of water out the fridge. "Which is why you barge in with a gun," he chuckled before drinking from the bottle. I sigh and take my gun from behind my back and put it in my purse. "Maybe I was more than a little worried," I shrugged. "It's coo,l at least I know Kinzy has a down ass best friend, which is why I want to talk to you. You know all of Kinzy's friends from work and school and church, so I figured you could make the guest list for this surprise party I'm throwing her," he said downing the rest of his water and looking around the corner to check on Joshua.

     "What's the party for," I asked confused?

    "For her graduation. She may not act it but I know she's happy as hell about doing finishing school. So I figured we should have a huge celebration for her. I was going to plan it at Saint City, and decorate the place in her favorite colors, and we'd get a D.J. that know's what he's doing, and have her friends in the Vip and the whole city their to make up the rest of the crowd," he said rubbing his hands together in thought. Jyrell is just so sweet! Despite what Kinzy says about him having changed, he has never changed how much he loves my girl. I wonder if one day I'll ever find this. "Just tell me what I have to do," I responded excited.
