you asked me on a date.
i decided to give it a try,
i went.
two days later,
you said that you liked me.
i wasn't sure of my feelings,
but i told you i felt the same.
five days later,
you asked me to be your girlfriend.
i was still slightly unsure of my feelings,
but i stupidly said yes.
a week later,
you said you loved me.
i told you,
i couldn't fall in love in two weeks and three days.
you got angry,
but i couldn't seem to figure out why.
how can two people fall in love
in under a month?
two weeks in,
you barely know each other.
i've never been able to understand
how people can devalue the word love so much, and yet think so highly of it.
