Chapter 13

Daniel

She fell asleep, awh.. I got out and I opened her door I caught her before she fell out, I lifted her up in my arms and shut the door I walked to my front door and contemplated on what to do, I had no hands, I sighed and looked at Maya “babe, wake up” I said gently, she didn’t move, I started to think before I set her down on the swing on my porch I unlocked my front door and opened the door tossing my keys on the couch I took off my blazer and almost forgot about Maya

“Oops” I laughed silently and went back outside I scooped her up and brought her inside, I went upstairs and lied her down on my bed, well our bed.. I ditched my shoes and sat down at the foot of the bed I turned and took off her heels, I set them down on the floor and stood up I grabbed a pair of sweats, Like always and an old shirt

I took off my pants and I put my sweats on, I unbuttoned my white button down and took it off pulling the T-shirt over my head “hmm?” I heard maya make a noise

“love?” I turned around, she was still asleep, I raised an eyebrow and I heard a loud bang come from downstairs.

Shit

I never shut the front door

I pursed my lips and I made my way downstairs, there were two guys, rummaging around, I widened my eyes and I cleared my throat “uhh excuse me gentlemen” I walked down the stairs halfway, they gasped and ran out tripping over their own feet, I couldn’t help but laugh, I slammed the door and locked it. I felt a sharp pain in my neck and I turned around to a tall man he had a smirk on his face, he had injected me with something, I blinked a few times before I blacked out.

I awoke to screaming, Maya’s screaming, she was screaming my name, I got up and my ears started to ring, I couldn’t hear anything I fell back down only for Maya to be shoved down next to me, she had blood dripping from the side of her head, I felt my heart drop, my hearing came back “Danny? Oh my god what did he do to you?!” she exclaimed and grabbed my phone out of my pocket she called someone “where is the..the..” I blacked out again

*Two hour time lapse*

I couldn’t open my eyes but I heard so many voices, Maya being one of them

“is he going to be okay?”

“we’re not too sure, we still have no idea what he was injected with, so until the tests come back all we can tell you is we will try our best” I heard a door shut and Maya grabbed my hand “Daniel if you can hear me please just open your eyes” I felt her hands cup my cheeks

I opened my eyes and sat up quickly, her eyes widened and tears threatened to spill she wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me multiple times

I stopped her for a minute “what happened?” I tilted my head “well, you’ve been out for two hours, and I was getting worried, I wasn’t really in control of my emotions, It was four times harder to stop the crying” she wiped her tears away “we did an ultrasound and I-I heard the baby’s little heartbeat..” she said with the biggest smile

Before I could say anything else the doctor walked in “oh he’s up” he looked shocked

“why wouldn’t he be?” Maya looked at the doctor “he was injected with a horse tranquilizer” he said with an odd look on his face he walked over to the other side of the bed and put his stethoscope on and pressed the round piece to my chest, he was quiet for  a few seconds and took them out of his ear “okay, well you should be good to home, I’ll bring in the papers for you to sign” he smiled at us and walked out, “wait you had an ultra sound?” I looked at her, she smiled at me and nodded “yes I did and the heartbeat was the most beau-“ I cut her off by kissing her lips softly, she kissed me back and smiled into the kiss, she pulled away for a second “tiful sound” she giggled, I smiled and kissed her nose then her forehead, the door opened and the nurse handed me a clipboard and the papers, she handed me a pen and looked me over

I raised an eyebrow and looked at the paper work, I went through most of it, the nurse was unhooking me from the machines and took  out my IV she bandaged my arm up “just take it easy, I suggest your  wife drives you home”

I ignored the fact that she called Maya my wife, I just gave her a nod, I finished the paperwork and gave it back, Maya handed me a bag, I went into the bathroom changing into my jeans and a light blue shirt with my leather jacket I slipped my socks and shoes on before walking out, Maya was standing right in front of the bathroom door, she grabbed my jacket and pulled me down to her height kissing me. I kissed her back and I placed my hands on her hips “you didn’t correct her” she mumbled against my lips

“hmm?” I pulled away and stood back up to my normal height, she laced our fingers together. “she said I’m your wife and you didn’t say anything”

She cocked her head up at me “does it matter?” I walked to the door opening it, she and I walked out she shrugged “I guess not” she kissed the back of my hand “one day you can call yourself my wife and it’ll be true”

She looked at me and her cheeks flushed and they were turning red, I smiled at her and poked her cheek “race you to the car!” I ran off “you don’t know where we parked!!” she called after me, I realized she was right and  I came to a halt, she crashed into me

“ow!! Danny!” she hit my back “Sorry! Sorry!” I said turning around “jerk, come on I have to drive your drugged up ass home” she punched my arm

“Owww” I fell to the ground dramatically, there were people staring at us “she abuses me, don’t mind us” I said, she bit her lip holding back a laugh, she rolled her eyes “I’m going to really abuse you if you don’t get up and that’s the hormones talking” she said harshly

“well, point made” I jumped up and brushed myself off she shook her head and hit my chest, I fell against the wall being dramatic again, she laughed at me “I hate you” she tried not to smile “Oh you love me” I kissed her lips she pulled away and led me to the car “hey you didn’t kiss me back so I object” I pouted, she laughed and licked my cheek “ewww” I wiped her spit off and I pushed her playfully, she grabbed me by my shirt and brushed her lips against mine

She was about to kiss me or so  I thought, she open hand hit me in the lower region, I groaned “babe why?” I fell over and sat there for a few minutes breathing in and out, she frowned “Did I really hurt you?” she got down next to me “yes” I winced and looked down “babe” she kissed down my jawline “I’m sorryyy” she pouted “mhm it’s fine” I got up and walked around to the passengers side, I got in and groaned

She got in and started the car “I’m sorry baby” she said and started to drive, I looked over at her and smiled “I love you”

I said calmly “you are an odd person babe” she flashed me a smile “I know” I reached over and placed a hand on her thigh, she gulped  and looked at me “Daniel I will pull this car over” she looked at me narrowing her eyes “Nah this is your payback” I ran my hand further up and she looked at me “Daniel don’t do it” she squeezed the steering wheel “shh” I smirked and leaned over kissing down her neck, she let out a strange noise “D-Daniel” she whined

“yes?” I slipped my hand up her dress and I pulled her Underwear down and she pulled over, she took off her converse and climbed into the back, I smirked and crawled in the back with her, I sat down and she bit her lip nervously

“can you up unzip me?” she asked me innocently, I nodded and she turned around, I unzipped her dress and undid my pants, I pulled them off along with my boxers

We got home and my hair was slightly messed up, she walked over to me and pecked my lips, I smiled and took her hand going to the front door, she unlocked it and walked in, she and I went upstairs and got changed into my PJ’s, she did too, we brushed our teeth and settled down
