I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing underneath my pillow, disrupting me from my sleep.

My instinct was to just ignore it as I could feel my sore head kick in.

I managed to sit up and throw my phone away, laying back down to try and get comfortable again. I sighed when I could hear the familiar buzzing continue, not being able to ignore it as it made me groan out loud and sit up in search of the my annoyance of a phone.

"Ugh, what do you want?" I groaned holding my head in my hands as I answered, and all I could hear was that familiar chuckle on the other end of the phone.

"You sound lovely" he laughed, making me groan even more.

"Matty, how are you even alive right now?" I asked, now getting up of my bed and heading to the bathroom to turn on the shower.

"I wasn't the one throwing back shots like a champion" he said, chuckling again.

"Oh god" was all I could manage, even thinking about it made me feel sick.

"Okay, get showered and dressed and I will collect you in like... an hour" he stated, giving me too much information that I couldn't process.

"Alright, see you then" I replied testing the water of the shower.

"Looking forward to it" I could hear the smile in his voice as he said that just before hanging up, leaving me to think about last night as I stepped into my warm shower.

I was now dressed in shorts and a rather baggy of the shoulder jumper as I made myself a cup of tea waiting on Matty.

I was surprised that I wasn't one bit nervous, I was actually very excited to see him again, even after only seeing him yesterday.

After boiling the kettle, the door bell rang, causing me to abandon my tea making and answer the door.

As I opened the door, I couldn't help but smile as I set my eyes on him, he gave me this giddy feeling that I couldn't shake off, the giddy feeling he gave me all those years ago.

"Hello!" an enthusiastic Matthew shouted while leaning in for a hug.

My smile grew as I took in how good he smelt, breaking away from the hug I took a step back to let him in.

"You look a lot better than you sounded earlier" he chuckled as he walked through to the kitchen.

"I feel a lot better too" I laughed with him walking over to my cups on the counter.

"Tea?" I asked holding up a mug to him as he sat up on one of the stools.

"Please" he replied, running his hand through his hair. I could feel myself staring at him, and I couldn't help but not look away. His hair was gorgeously messy, and he had baggy black tshirt on that slid slightly off of his shoulder, a shoulder that I wanted to bite down on.

"We need to do a repeat of last night, it brought back so many memories" he said breaking my thoughts with a grin.

"Definitely! except I will not be drinking as much" I laughed, walking over to the bench to hand him his mug of tea.

"Thanks, Soph" he said, lacing his hands around the cup.

"Come sit in the living room with me, I need to sit somewhere comfy to rest this hangover" I moaned at him.

He just laughed, hopping off the stool and walking behind me, placing his hand on my lower back.

Sitting down, Matty sat right next to me and I felt like I was observing his every move.

"Hither" he stated, taking my cup out of my hands and placing it with his on the coffee table.

I just stared at him, unsure of what he meant until he turned back to me and opened his arms, looking at me with a hint of a smile.

I didn't even hesitate, I crawled over to him and lay down on his chest, him wrapping his arms around me. I felt him kiss my forehead and I shut my eyes as I felt so safe, so completely at ease.

"I've missed this" he mumbled, causing me to look up at him, happiness filling me up at his words.

"Me too" I smiled as he looked back at me, his eyes making me feel weak.

We stayed like that for a while, and I knew in that moment that I wanted him back again, I wanted things back to normal.
