"Hey, Lo!"

"Hey, Tori!"

"You got a sec?"

Lauren nods and smiles softly, the blonde a calming presence. Tori's really such a great person to have around, with her dimpled smile and corny jokes. Lauren's trying to slide a dollar into a vending machine as Tori continues talking.

"What are you doing after school tomorrow?"

Lauren wants to be witty and respond Camila but she knows Tori wouldn't get it or appreciate it.

"Nothing. Why?"

Tori bounces lightly in place and it makes Lauren chuckle. "So remember how I was telling you about how my mom works at that amphitheater downtown?"

Lauren grabs her drink when it dispenses and turns to Tori with excited eyes. "Are you gonna say what I think you are?"

"She got the tickets!"

"I can't believe you're taking me to see Lana Del Rey!"

"Who says I'm taking you?"

Lauren shoves the girl playfully and lets out another excited laugh.

"I'll text you later with the details. Stay pumped, my friend!"

"Count on it!" Lauren responds just as joyfully.

She walks over to Normani who was eyeing her from their usual table and she sits down to continue eating her lunch.

"What was that about?"

"Tori's taking me to the Lana concert tomorrow!"

Normani's eyes widen but she tries to downplay it. "Wow. That's cool of her to do."

"I know right? I've been trying to get tickets for forever."

After a comfortable silence, the blue-haired girl speaks up tentatively.

"Are you sure it's such a good idea to go?"

"Why wouldn't it be?"

Normani shrugs. "Nothing bad but—what about Camila?"

"What about her?"

"I don't know, I mean, is she okay with it?"

"Is she okay with me going to a concert?"

"No, is she okay with you hanging out with Tori."

Lauren looks at her oddly. "Why wouldn't she be?"

"I thought you guys had something."

"We do have something. We use each other for sex. That's it."

"So, you fell out of love with her? Just like that?"

Lauren drops her eyes to her fork, avoiding Normani's prying eyes.

"Just like that."

Normani inwardly scoffs.

Liar.

Lauren's lost count of how many days have passed by without Camila's lips on her own.

School ended twenty minutes ago and she's driving Camila to a secluded spot near this forest by the beach because both of their parents were getting home early today and they decided that they were craving each other. Who are they kidding? They always crave each other.

She parks her car and feels relief when she spots nobody else near them.

Camila unbuckles her seatbelt and looks at Lauren expectantly. "So how are we doing this?"
