When I turned twenty, I became a mess. My dad had died due to heart attack and then my mum exactly after one month. I had no family left, no job, few friends to rely on and you had disappeared too. I silently watched my life crumble into pieces and the grief of the loss so powerful, I wondered why I was still alive.

Then one day at the town's monthly lecture on social issues, I arrived late due to rain. The professor scowled at me when I entered, water dripping from my hair and my wet boots creating a squeaky noise. My eyes desperately searched for an empty seat, but I couldn't find one.

All eyes were on me, some giggled while others just stared. The professor yelled at me and tears welled up in my eyes. I was already depressed due to my parents death and now I was humiliated in front of the entire town. Suddenly, a hand pulled me down and I gasped when I saw you. You made me sit on your lap and you frowned back at the professor. I was so mad at you for leaving me alone for two years. I cried softly when you whispered against my hair, "I'm sorry Boo, but it'll be okay now. I got you."
