Warnings: language, gay thoughts, homophobia

Lance woke up with a smile on his face, and surprisingly early. Stepping outside quietly, he looked around to see if anyone was up. All he could hear were quiet mumbles from the dining room, which he assumed belonged to Shiro and Allura, probably doing their eyeliner together or some shit like that.

He retreated back to his room to do his usual morning routine, with a little extra for Keith. After all, his plan would be carried out in just a few hours, thanks to Pidge. Stepping out in his casual clothing, he stalked close to Keith's door, which was right next to his.

Swiveling his head left and right, he checked again. He didn't want to have to deal with any suspicious paladins or Alteans. Pressing his ear against Keith's door softly, he just wanted to see if Keith was awake, it was a key component of the next stage in his plan. Well, that was his excuse, anyway.

He wasn't prepared for what happened next.

The door hadn't been closed fully, and being as tall and lanky as Lance was, he fell and pushed the door open, landing face-first on the floor. He groaned and hoped he hadn't awoken Keith. Luck wasn't on his side.

Keith looked surprised, and quickly fumbled to put something away, leaving Lance curious and clueless.

"What the hell, man?" Keith gave him a puzzled expression, and looked him up and down with disdain.

Lance was embarrassed that he had fallen, and tried to cover for himself.

"Listen..." Lance was at a loss for words.

Letting out a sigh, he just stood up and shrugged, moving closer to Keith.

I've already fucked up this mission, what's more?

Keith was confused, and not just from waking up. "What do you want me to listen to?"

Lance didn't reply, but got closer, an unreadable look on his face. He soon had him cornered.

"Why the fuck are you acting so weird?" Keith tried pushing forward, but Lance was determined. "Back the hell up."

Let's see who's better now, shall we?

Lance leaned in for the kiss, and he felt angels singing and fireworks going off in his head. Keith's lips had a slight salty taste, but it only made Lance want even more. Pushing Keith up against the wall, he put his knee near the shorter man's groin, but Keith wasn't having it.

Finally mustering the strength to push Lance off, he wiped his lip and glared at Lance with utter disgust. His purple eyes seem to pierce through Lance as they held no compassion, no empathy. Lance saw them flicker for a moment, but in the situation he was in, he had no time to focus on that.

"Don't you ever pull that gay shit again." Keith stormed out of his own room, probably to the training facilities.

Lance was shocked. Heartbroken, but he wouldn't admit it.

Keith doesn't accept me. He hates me. He hates me for who I am...

I mean, it's not like Lance cared. Keith was his rival, who had a stupid fucking mullet. Lance could never develop feelings for someone as cold, bitter, and uncaring as Keith.

No way... right?

He finally moved off of the floor and down the hallway to Pidge's door. He moved his hand to knock, but he couldn't. He couldn't call this off. He wanted to have a second chance with Keith, he wanted Keith to accept him.

He wanted Keith to love him.
