Like tattoos
They mar the skin
Turning it into art's kin
Her scar's painted in
Beautiful for they're hers
A constant reminder of
Her perceived errors
Each blemish
A blasphemy
She can't bear to see
So the refection corrodes
Breaks her down
Her life becomes frowns
But like tattoos
She's beautiful
Each scar
A reminder
That she's alive and can move on
Maybe she can't see
The beauty in front of me
Reflected in these eyes
Maybe she doesn't realize
Each smile is like a glorious surprise
Your reflection lies
Let these eyes
Be
Your mirror in disguise
