"First off , the aptitude test!" the old men shouted. Wait , I meant Keith Shardis shouted. "You worms aren't even good for bait if you fail this!" he continued shouting , glaring at every single one of us. "I'll throw you back into the landfills." he shouted, again.

I let out a sigh as I watched the other trainees attempt it. Some went up with ease , like they were born with it. While some others..let's just say it wasn't pretty to watch.

Would I be able to do it? My eyes glanced over to a certain blonde who didn't seem to be able to balance and twisted , resulting in him hitting his head on the dirt ground. Or will I fail? I watched as the fierce male shouted at a fellow cadet who has been trying for the past 10 minutes or so.

Will I be able to balance? My eyes darted towards a black-haired female who seemed to master it with ease. Her face blank , void of any emotion as she balanced. Will I be able to do it like her? I could slowly feel envy filling my veins but I quickly shook my head. I haven't even tried it yet.

"Celestia Akeldama." I looked up when my name was called. A guy with freckles and dark blonde hair motioned me to come forward. It's my turn already. My left hand went up and briefly touched the necklace that hung around my neck.

How do you it so easily , brother?

"How do you do it? Won't you fall? What if it snaps?" the nine year old me asked my brother. My eyes filled with curiosity , looking at the machine that is known to be used my the Survey Corps , Garrisons and of course , the Military Police.

His grey eyes looked at me and he then shook his head. "It won't break." he replied. "All you have to do is balance yourself." he shrugged. "Put your weight on your waist and hips." he told me.

"She looks too young to join the military." I heard a whisper as the male adjusted the metal hooks and the straps on my uniform. I bit down my tongue , not wanting to get angry and lose my concentration.

'All you have to do is balance yourself."

"Are you ready , Cadet?" the male asked me.

I let out a sigh and turned back slightly and nodded my head. I turned back to face the crowd and noticed Keith Sharidis eyes were on me. What do you want , old men? I felt the metal cables slowly started to rise up and soon , I was dangling in the air.

A soft gasp left my mouth as I felt myself shake a little and was about to do a 360 degrees flip but thank God I didn't. I bit my lips, remembering what he said years back. Put your weight on your waist and hips and let gravity do it's thing. After a few seconds of getting the hang of it , a small grin appeared on my lips. I was barely moving and it felt so..normal.

"Very well. Bring her down." Keith nodded at the male who then proceeded to follow his superiors instructions. Once my feet touched my ground , the straps were quickly taken off and the next person was immediately asked to come over.

-Year 850-

It has been two years. Two years since Commander Erwin spotted me and made me join the military. Two years since I wrote and signed on the registration paper that I would dedicate my life in saving humanity.

Of course. And it has also been years since I last talked to Levi. Has it been 8 years? How fast time pass.

"Run , you shitheads!" a deep voice shouted behind me. Keith Shardis , his personality hasn't changed a bit since 2 years back. The raindrops wetted my face as my boots hit the muddy ground. I was not surpised our training still carried on even though it's raining heavily.
