"Hey man? So are you and the new girl like together or what?" Aiden asks as we walk out of the locker room, after practice
"Yes, why?" I ask a little too harsh
"Oh, uhm, no reason" he replies too quickly
"Uhm, thought so. Well, I'm leaving" I say as I walk towards the door and out onto the field to the bleachers where Auburn's waiting.
"Hey baby" I say when I'm standing right in front of her
"Oh, hi Will" she says cheerfully, jumping up and giving me a hug which I happily return. I mean, who wouldn't? I swear I would go on a quest looking for Atlantis if it meant this girl would hug me again.
"Why are we so happy?" I ask raising a brow
"No reason" she says with a cute smile. We start walking towards my truck in silence. Comfortable silence. But still silence
"So? You enjoy your first day?" I ask while opening her door
"Yeah, it wasn't too bad" she replies when I'm seated "How was practice?"
"Brutal" I reply honestly
"You sore?" she asks sympathetically
"Very" I say with a wink "feel like kissing it better?" She leans over the center console, putting her right hand on my thigh and her left hand on the back of my neck and kisses my cheek. That has got to be the sexiest thing ever.
"Let's go home" she whispers in my ear
"Uh yeah s-sure" I stutter like a freaking idiot
