Falling Asleep
My hands pressed on your chest,
your arms around me,
I'm falling asleep peacefully.Your warm breath against my forehead,
my hair spread out on the pillowcase,
our rhythmic breathing is a calming race.We lay in comforting silence,
engulfed in harmonious darkness,
we'll be okay even if the sky was starless.Your eyelashes resting on your cheeks,
my legs tangled with yours,
with you the act of simply sleeping is a cure.Sometimes I'd wake up by accident,
whether it be a nightmare or other,
and I'd kiss your fingers one after another. As easily as falling in love,
I'd fall back to sleep,
losing myself in you so deep.
