Mocking Birds
It's a phase,
a complicated maze.
He won't stop falling
in this never ending
black hole.He's completely numb,
you know, they think that he's dumb.
Expectations are unrealistic,
life is so sadistic, yes,
these terms are euphemistic. You'd think they'd know how he'd feel
but their apathy is too unreal.
He's dying, suffering terribly,
waiting for them to love him unconditionally,
but he'll get that when he's gone, finally. They don't know the meaning
of support and acceptance, that feeling.
They laugh but he's internally reeling.
They keep expecting more,
because that's what family's for.
