a poem about stories

I am the main character in a cautionary tale of woe and wonder
And if I could pick my own ending I would but that's not how it works
See some big douche is sitting around smoking a stogey
And thinking up the next big adventure for Jordan
Should he be sad and learn a lesson?
Should he be happy and everything seems happily ever after?
Should he be killed off to make room for the real main character; that one guy who we only wrote a single sentence about 13 chapters ago?
No no it's too soon for that
Although studies have supposedly proven that since I am older than sixteen I have met my love interest
And I'm ninety percent sure I've met the antagonist
Fuck THAT guy
And sometimes I feel like I don't really serve a purpose and that I'm just a supporting character in my own novel
All other novels ever written actually do prove something
And that's that in the end no matter how messed up the author writes this story
It'll all come to a resolution in the end and I...
I will be okay.
