"Take Away the Saints" will collect noir and hard-boiled short stories from whatever genres you are inspired to write in. As you may be able to tell from the name, entries should focus on the theme of antiheroes, a world without heroes, or the fall of a hero. This should leave a wide-open field for a variety of great stories. The word count should remain between 2-10k words, and the deadline for entries will be March 15th. The judging period will go on from the deadline to April 1st, when we will announce the winners and publish a story a day.
In between now and then, we'll also reveal some special guest authors the winners will be joining. Including other contest winners/finalists, Wattpad Featured List authors, Wattpad Ambassadors, and even a Wattpad Star or two! All work should be new and original, and finalists for consideration will be messaged with an email address to send their completed works. The winners will then be chosen based on how many contestants have entered. If there are less than 50 entries, there will be 15 winners. The number of winning stories will be increased to 20 if we exceed 50 entries.
