Gaara did actually end up becoming the Kazekage. it was an amazing moment for him, when the village came together and excepted him, in a way which they never had before. the look on his face was beautiful

Flashback

"does anyone wish to deny this man the right of Kazekage?" The elder called. the crowd was silent, as they stared up at Gaara. his face was uncertain, but there was a stiff determination in his eyes as he stared down the crowd. the elder of the sand village gave a small smile as he turned to Gaara and presented him

"People of Suna! meet your new Kazekage!" the crowd roared and cheered at Gaara. i saw the shine to his eyes. tears forming beneath the surface as his village took him into their hearts with arms opened wide. I smiled and looked up into his beautiful eyes. he smiled down at me and i returned it whole hearted. i really was proud of him, he had changed so much since the first time we met. he was a better person now, someone any girl would be proud to call their own. he then turned back to the village, his village, and his face melted into a beautiful look that could only be described as pure happiness. Gaara was finally a part of something more.

End FlashBack

Its been a week since his 'crowning' i decided that when others were around i would use proper formality, but alone with him... well, i didn't really see the need. i still found myself superior, after all. I walked up to the door of his office, in his building, and knocked three times.

"enter" I heard Gaaras voice call.  I entered and immediately took notice of three other Jonin in the room, all of whom i recognized as Jaran (the ex best friend), Baki sensei, and Hiso (Jarans friend). I turned to Gaara and bowed lowly, but not before i winked at him. 

"you called for me, my lord?" I asked. i could feel the others confusion, i was not one to submit to my so called 'superiors' which confused them. I also felt Gaara's lust. he enjoyed the rare moments, that were few and far between, in which i treated him as a superior. i met his eyes and he smiled

"I did. We have received word that Konaha has appointed themselves a new hokage, Lady Tsunade, one of the legendary Sannin." Gaara said. i smirked and I nodded

"I had heard that as well" I said. he smirked, and tried to hide it beneath the shadow of his Kazekage hat.

"well, it has been decided that we are going to try to reproduce our treaty, in such a way that would hopefully bring our villages closer than before, and i have decided that you, will be Suna's representative, because i will be busy, while Hiso will be your guard. Jaran of course volunteered to stay with Hiso, to which i agreed. you are going to fix the void that we have put between us and Konaha." Gaara said. my eyes widened, as i stared at him. did he realize what he was even saying? i was to go on a mission with Jaran? Of all people why him?

"G- Gaara" I stuttered "Lord Kazekage, is this really the best idea, i'm only a genin after all and-" He cut me off

 "that's actually another thing we need to talk about. Baki?" he said. My sensei stepped forward and bowed to Gaara before turning to me, the visible side of his mouth tilted into a smile.

"Liiran Sama, due to your performance at the chunin exams and previous, the elders of the village have decided that you are to be a Jonin now." he said. he placed his hand on top of my head and said in his gravelly voice

"congrats kid" i gave him a wide eyed look and turned to Gaara, giving him a very angry stare, i abandoned all pretenses of respect and approached him threateningly. two Anbu members blocked my path, kunai drawn. I glared them down.

"move" I commanded. they said nothing, nor did they move "get out of the way. me and my... Gaara need to talk" I said in a low voice. this didn't reassure the alert anbu, and they never wavered from their positions. i growled.

"Gaara if you don't make them move, i will find a way to make life with me very, very miserable" I threatened. i heard him gulp and he said in a shaky voice

"l-let her through"

"But Lord Kazekage-"

"please, if you desire my safety, move" Gaara commanded. the two Anbu exchanged a look, before moving. i stepped up to the currently terrified Gaara, and glared into his eyes, my face so close to his that our noses touched. he shivered slightly and i smirked

"Gaara-Kun " I growled. he shivered again

"y-yes Liiran?" He said. i got even closer now, a hairs breath away from his lips i said

"we've been living together for a month, and you never thought to mention that you were considering upgrading my rank?" I hissed. the room filled with gasps and the witnesses whispered amongst themselves.

"It was meant to be a surprise" He mumbled. "I thought you would like it" his eyes were downcast and i internally cursed his manipulative charm. he knew i couldn't stand him being sad. i felt my eyes softening and carefully pulled away from him, turning away from him and the onlookers i sighed

"very well. thank you" the room was quiet, and i felt gazes on my back. i turned to meet the astonished gazes of everyone in the room, while Gaara just smiled at me. i smirked at their shocked reactions.

"what? never seen a guilt trip before?" I asked. They just continued to gawk and i sighed, looking over at Gaara

"when do we leave?" I asked. he smiled

"Immediately" was his response. i smiled and walked back up to him, pulling on his new and improved shirt (he had changed how he dressed recently) i met his lips with my own. i knew this would embarrass him, and was considering it as payback. he was shocked and tried to pull away, but i denied him movement. wrapping my arms around his neck i seduced him into an unprofessional kiss that would undermine his title for weeks. he soon forgot he was fighting, and kissed me back. just as he was getting into the kiss however, i pulled away.

"take that" I said, before turning to Jaran and Hiso "the gates in ten" and then i disappeared back home to pack, leaving a shocked group of men behind me.
