My poor baby was under so many machines I could barely see her. She had a tube down her throat, so many wires coming in and out of her connecting to blood, fluids, beeping machines, you name it she had it on her. Her bump was covered in a massive bandage but two big elastic bands were around it holding on some kind of round thing that was connected to a machine that kept printing out and beeping. Just the sight of seeing her made me drop to floor.

“Milo, you’re awake” I looked around to see Adam sat under the window not even looking at me or Abby; he was just staring out of the window into the woods

“Adam what’s going on” I asked picking myself up and slowly making my way over to Abby

“You’ve been out of it for a week, same as Abby. No one knew what was happening the only thing we could guess is you were connected to her” he said quietly still not looking at me

“What have they said is she going to be ok” I asked as I gently grabbed her hand holding it tightly and stroking it with my fingers

“They’ve given her an antidote for the silver, and repaired the damage to her back and stomach, the babies have been given a dose of antidote as well. as they were both sliced open with the arrow. It seems it passed between them cutting one on the stomach and one on the back. No one knows much more. The severity of her injuries would have killed anyone else and according to the docs she should have lost those babies the second the silver touched them both. No one knows anything all anyone is saying is they are all stable but critical. It’s a waiting game I’m afraid.”

I leant down and carefully moved her blonde hair away from her cheek pressing my lips onto her. The same sparks flowed through us like always making her heart monitor beep quickly. I suddenly knew why she had made me wake up she had already told me in the dream or whatever it was. I needed to be here and guide her back through.

“Abby I’m here, I’m not going anywhere again, I love you” I whispered into her ear making her machine beep louder again. I smiled slightly knowing she had heard me that she was still here fighting her little socks off.

“Milo how did you do that, she’s been exactly the same all week, you walk in and her machines start going wild.” He said finally turning around to look at me. His skin was a deathly pale and his eyes were like Dan’s, red and puffy with massive dark bags under them.

“She knows I’m here” I said stroking her hair softly letting the electricity flow through us. I slowly moved my other hand down to her belly which had doubled in size over the last week and started rubbing it in small circles

#daddy’s here now guy’s# I tried said trying to connect to them again.

“Holy crap” I gasped lifting my hand up in shock as I felt a huge kick right where I had been stroking

“What’s wrong” Adam cried running over to me

“One of the babies just kicked me” I said in disbelief, surely it was too early to feel them move and kick

“Are you sure, it’s really early to be feeling that” he said mirroring what I had just been thinking

“I’m positive” I smiled moving my hand from Abby’s hair and placing both on her belly I leant down so my face was millimetres away from where I had just been kicked

“Harley, Harry, daddy’s here. Can you kick me again” I whispered, looking up slightly to see Adams face frowning in confusion

I couldn’t help but grin widely when I felt another kick then another. My babies were fine and I would do like they asked me I would never leave them and would pull Abby through this
