"Oh my god" you dragged out in exaggeration as Luke fix another strand of his perfectly blond gelled hair into place, in an outstanding quiff. He had spent around twenty minutes doing his hair, the first ten were fine but now it was getting absurd. You sat up with a grunt letting your neck flop. "Lucas freaking Hemmings, your hair was perfect ten minutes ago now can we please just go, we are already late" you nag. Luke was bringing you too the recording booth today, with the rest of the boys, as he said it may help with creativity, well that's what he told management to be truthful you just wanted to see him and the boys as they were on tour and flying around the globe every other week. "Yeah, sure, give me two ticks" Luke said looking at his hair in the mirror more intensely. You could see a twinkle develop in his eyes as he started to bite down on his pink, plump lips what in that moment looked irresistibly kissable. "Luke if you fucking dare touch another hair on that pretty little head of yours I swear to god you'll have to sleep with your eyes opened because I will come and shave it all off" you say standing up and walking over to where he stood across the room dressed in the usual black skinny jeans that you never objected too and a band tee - today it was a you me at six top he was fashioning. Luke chuckled showing his heart melting, stomached flipping smile. Your eyes took in his face, not like they usually did by skimming and scanning but fully took in every detail. The crinkles by his sea blue eyes, the shading of his jaw, even the curve of his nose seemed to be imprinted into your mind. It felt like something had clicked in your mind as you looked up at the boy you had known for too many years to remember; all the days spend building forts as children. The time spent picking up the many shattered pieces of one another’s youthful hearts; broken by loves whom you thought would be your life partners. Even the times he spent teasing you, making you blush cherry red in front of potential suitors or recountered the embarrassing things you had done and wished he would not recite. your lungs heaved out a breath that you weren’t aware of have taken in. you knew what had just happened and wished with all your might it would not be painted on your face, especially in front of the person who painted it and whom could interpret it with utmost accuracy. "Alley, is everything okay?" Luke said his blue eyes washed with worry, searching yours, what you wished he would not do. "Yeah, now are we going?" you said hastily trying to keep your tone normal and steady, pleading it would not falter. Luke nodded. Nodded. Luke never nodded unless he was in deep thought or was shy in front of someone. You knew it was the first option as Luke told you everything, and by everything you meant everything, granted something’s you probably didn't want or need to know. One of Luke’s many traits is that he would not pressure you into spilling the beans, if you didn't want to say he wouldn't ask again.

The car ride to the studio was perfectly normal despite your newly developed butterflies prancing around in the pit of your stomach. You needed to get it off your chest, and soon, to someone who was not Luke. You practically ran into the studio holding your badge up to everyone and anyone whom you came across. You spotted the oak wood door up ahead; you ears could hear the faint familiar laugh that always followed the boys. Barging into the room not caring how you looked or who was there. "Michae,l I need to talk to you, now." you said widening your eyes as you did so. You were also quite close with Michael. You knew it was him you had to tell. Michael stopped in his tracks, his face that was previously expressing, an amused expression, turned to a serious one. He strode across the room taking you hand and leading you through the door. You nearly hit Luke in that face as the two of you walked hastily down the corridor. Michael stopped about three quarters of the way down. His frame towered over yours, his eyes searching yours for some kind of explanation. Your back was facing the direction of the door you'd come through. "Alley is everything okay?" Michael asked. His voice husky and low due to the time of day. "Michael, I’m in love with Luke" you said. Michael’s eyes widened making your heart pound against your rib cage even fast that it was a couple of seconds ago. "Um...sorry" you heard a voice from behind you. Your body became paralyzed in that moment. Your brain had recognised the voice instantly not even giving the speakers identity a second thought. It was Luke.
