Cameron's P.O.V.

My heart went up to my throat as I quickly stuffed my phone in my pocket. I made sure to pinch myself before replying. There was no way Dan freaking Howell was standing right in front of me.

My silence earned a chuckle from the amazing giant that I was blessed to bump into. "So you're a fan?" He asked with a kind smile tucking his hands into his coat pockets. "Y-Yeah I'm a huge phan." I smiled weakly knowing the difference in what I said even though he didn't. Why was I such a dork?

"Well I apologize for bumping into you. That was on me." He said with a cringey laugh. "No that was all me. If I wasn't watching-"
"If you weren't watching it where would I be?" he asked leaning a bit to meet my dropped gaze. "Not stopped in the street." I giggled finally lifting my head. "I would assume you know what I meant." he snorted then blushed a bit embarrassed.

"That looks a bit thin." He said mentioning my hoodie. "Why aren't you wearing a coat?" he asked seeming genuine. Like always. "Oh.. I don't have one with me." I mumbled. Bad habit. "What do you mean you don't have a coat?" he raised a brow. "I lost my stuff a while ago.. I um. I've been out here for almost a week now." I said shyly meeting those beautiful brown eyes I had seen so many times before. Something about his caring expression made it easy to tell him. Somehow the videos didn't do justice to how he looked in person.

Coughing, Dan's eyes widened. "Out here.. You mean?" he started earning a small nod from me. "My god. Why? No no. Tell me over some lunch. You must be starved." he offered.

My heart stopped. "I-I couldn't.." I stuttered out. He just shook his head and shrugged his coat off placing it over my shoulders making me flinch. "Anything for one of my little Danosaurs." He grinned starting to walk ahead of me. "Come on."

Later as I sat across the table from him at some random joint he gazed at me as I spoke. "So what's your name?" He asked with a shy smile almost looking like he was questioning why he hadn't asked earlier. "Oh." I paused from munching on my fries. "My names Cameron Haze." I beamed feeling better than earlier already.

"Cameron.." he muttered to himself smiling a little. "Tell me about yourself." he said, his eyes sparkling. "Well i'm 23. I love animals and kids. I'm an only child. My parents are divored. I just dropped out of school because stress." Sighing I noticed he was still waiting for the bomb to drop. "My mom said I couldn't come back home because I dropped out. So I've been fending for myself for five days. It feels like weeks." I frowned taking a sip from my glass.

His expression weakened as he bit his lip. "You don't have to keep going." He said softly but I shook my head. "No it's okay. I lost my stuff on night one along with my dignity. But my charger got snatched this morning. McDonald's customers can be real twats." I grumbled earning a weak chuckle.

"You were going to use up your battery on me and Phil?" Dan asked softly. I just nodded shyly taking another sip. "I needed to hear you guys. I'm sorry if that sounds dumb."

Quickly he shook his head. "No no. I'm glad you did. I'm also really glad you ran into me." he grinned. "I'm glad you're nice in real life like you are on the internet." I spoke quietly before standing up. "I should probably let you get back to what you were doing."

Dan shot up with me and shook his head. "And let you go back to what you were doing? Not to be rude but um.. no." his accent just made his sass so much better as he gently grabbed my arm. "Why don't you come with me? I was just heading to pick up some stuff for a video with Philly." he smiled making my heart melt.

Smiling I perked up then shook it off. "You're sure I wouldn't be bothering you? I'm just a random fangirl." I said shyly holding my hands behind me. Dan just shook his head. "Nonsense. You seem like way more. So you wanna join me? Maybe i'll drag you along to meet Phil. We've got chargers at our place. Who could pass that up?" he winked.

"You had me at chargers."
