Naomi

"Pass it," I demanded. Jack smiled as the smoke fell from his lips & passed the bong pipe to me.

"This is so cool. I love you for buying this," I chuckled & took a huff.

"I knew you would," he ran his finger under my chin with a smile.

As we were enjoying the sweet smell sink through the apartment & our stresses slowly melt away, my phone began to ring.

"Babe?" he uttered very confused.

"Mine?" I laughed.

"Yes yours," he ran his hand down my face sloppily. I stood up & picked up my phone from off the kitchen table.

"Hello this is Naomi Caroline Buzzler," I laughed fully.

"Nice to hear you're liking your middle name," my mom began, "we're coming back this weekend honey. Well I am. Cullen is with some hotshot hooker now so I'm coming back."

"Don't bother. I don't live there anymore," I swayed from side to side.

"What?" she gawked.

"Yeah. Jack take cares of me. He has a job & a car & everything," my tongue became numb.

"Who's Jack?" she asked, getting infuriated.

"My boyfriend," I giggled, "we live together."

"Naomi. You can't just go running off with guys. When I get home I swear I'm gonna-"

"You know what mom? Jack cares about me unlike you who runs away with any man that will put up with you & forgets she even has a daughter. Stay there in Nevada. I don't need you. My life is perfect with Jack. I'm gonna continue smoking my weed & drinking & you better be damn okay about it!" I screamed & dropped the phone. I walked back onto the living room carpet & dropped.

"Intense," he muttered.

"Tell me about it," I signed.

"She makes my life hell," I put my hands on my face.

"I've got something to sooth the pain," he smirked & stood up. He walked into his room & came back with a wallet looking bag.

He dropped it on the coffee table & sat on the couch. I slowly lifted myself up to the couch & saw he was doing. He put a belt around his arm & took out a needle.

"Jack is this Heroin?" I asked with a mute gasp.

"I don't take it all the time. Just as a stress reliever when Mary Jane don't work," he smirked & inserted the needle into his arm.

I saw his face change. Almost drain.

"Hold out your arm," he ordered. I held my arm close to me. Reluctant of his order.

"Baby," he swooned.

"I've never gone this far babe," I said nervously.

"It's like the white lady but so much better," he tugged my shirt. I rolled up my sleeve & stretched out my arm, shaking in fear.

"I love you," he said gently as he caressed my arm & wrapped the belt around my forearm.

I closed my eyes as I felt the sting of the needle enter my body. Then I felt

everything.
