"Yes absolutely!" mom says jumping up
"mom this is someone's life we're talking about" Logan says looking up at her
We sit at the kitchen table as I explain what Draco had told me. I decided to start with the "trade" option and end with the whole proposal thing.
"Logan, we could get your brother back" she says in disbelief
"If we kill another man" He protests
"Elena, how soon can this be done?" mom asks
"I'm not sure, I told Draco I would come back with an answer then we could figure it out." I explain
"Go back right now and tell him, Can we do it today?" She asks
"I'm not sure" I say
"Mom hold on" Logan says standing up "How do we even know this will work, do you really trust the Malfoy's to do this?" He says
"It's the only shot we have at getting Mike back" Mom says
"I don't like it" Logan says putting his hands on the table to lean on it.
"Logan sweetheart, Wouldn't it be wonderful to have him back?" Mom says
"It would" he says
"Elena tell Draco, i'll call and get his body" mom says
The idea of mom calling to retrieve Mike's dead body is disgusting and weird but I try to stay composed. I walk back tot he fireplace and take some floo powder in my hand.
"I'll be back soon" I say "Malfoy manor" i say and throw the powder down.
The flames surround me and I land back at the manor.
"Draco?" I yell stepping out of the fireplace.
"Mr.Bell" I hear Lucius's voice behind me.
The sound of his voice terrifies me and I slowly turn to meet his eyes. "fancy seeing you here, I didn't expect you to return. I truly am sorry about your brother" He says
"Is Draco here" I say sterling crossing my arms
"Yes" I hear him say as he rushes down the stairs. "I'm here, i'm here" he says taking me in his arms.
Lucius leaves the room and I watch him as he leaves.
"What did they say?" He asks
"They want to do it, the trade" I say
"And about the proposal?" he asks
"One thing at a time Draco" I say
He nods and looks back at the fireplace.
"We can come to you. Do you have Mike's body?" he asks
"We will. How long do you need?" I ask
"Maybe ten minutes, We already have an attachment to the prisoner, We just need to connect him to Mike" He says
"How is this even possible?" I ask
"I'm not sure, dark magic, very dark. It's what kept the original dark wizards alive for so long. They would tether themselves to another wizard before going into a war. They were thought to be invincible, but they were just cheaters." He says
"Sounds scary, are you sure it's safe?" I ask
"Of course" he says
"ok, I'll see you back at home?" I ask
"We'll be there soon, just clear a large space for us to do the spell" he says
"Thank you" I say
I walk back to the fireplace and get in. Draco hands me a marble bowl full of floo powder and I take some in my hand.
"See you soon" I say

Dear Elena
I hope I didn't scare you. We need to reopen Hogwarts. Dumbledore has considered opening again but only if we can guarantee the safety of the students. We told Dumbledore about the DA and he was impressed and also worried. it would be brilliant if you could come see us at the burrow on Friday. We will of course also see you at Mike's funeral.

I put the letter down as Logan calls my name. I rush out the door and down the stairs to see Draco and his parents standing in the living room.
"Hey" I say walking over to Draco.
He puts his arm around my waist and I look at my mom and Logan.
"Shall we begin?" Narcissa asks
"Yes please" mom says
I don't think they said anything before that. Not even hello, but under the circumstances it makes sense.
I look over to my right to see Mike's body covered by a white silk sheet on the couch. It looks like the same one I put over him the night that he died. narcissa walks over to the body and pulls out her wand.
"AUDIRE ME ANTQIQUUS MORTUS BENEVOLENS! TE DARE LUMEN ET ORATIO AD CURARE! DARE ME TUS SACER CUSTODIA ET TUS POTENS!" Narcissa Yells
"What is she saying?" I whisper to Draco
"I have no idea. Iv'e never seen this before" He says
A large red ribbon of light comes from her wand and circles Mike's body.
"One life for another" She says
The ribbon slowly melts into Mike and turns blue.
"Do you really think it will work?" I ask Draco
"Let's find out" he says holding me tighter to his side.
I look over at mom and she's complete frozen in fear and anticipation. The light completely fades and Narcissa pulls away from him. We all wait silently and no one moves. No one except for Mike.
"It's done" Narcissa says
