-Skip everything until going to the common room, Jas is Gryffindor-

"Yo, Cooper!" A voice called over when Jasmine and Hazel entered the common room. Sirius, Remus, Peter, James and Lily waved over at the duo. Well, James and Sirius are. Remus had his head shoved in a book, Peter and Lily were having a game of chess and Lily was obviously winning. "Hey, Black." Jasmine grinned, glancing at the chessboard. She moved Peter's queen and it gave her a thumbs up. "Checkmate, Lils." Jasmine said. Lily studied the board, "Good one." she smiled. Jasmine returned it. "When are your prefect duties going to start?" Hazel asked, sitting down beside Jasmine where she had slipped beside Lupin, currently trying to see what he was reading.

"Next week." Remus and Lily replied in unison, not even looking up from the things they were doing. James chuckled at that. "So, how did your prank go with Snape?" Hazel questioned. Potter and Black exchanged a glance. "It went ok." Sirius answered cautiously. "Don't tell me you got busted, Padfoot." Remus snorted. James scoffed, "Of course not, Moony! We're professionals!" "Then what?" Hazel looked at them intensively, Jasmine smirked at James' boast. "We ermm..." Sirius sneaked a glance at Lily who had won the chess, her arms now crossed across her chest and had a raised eyebrow aimed at the two boys, her foot tapped at the floor impatiently. "He's hanging out with those Slytherins who were planning to become Death Eaters." James blurted out.

The atmosphere was tensed as Lily, Remus, Hazel and Jasmine froze. Jasmine may be a transfer student, but that does't mean she didn't know who Voldemort was. "Sorry?" Hazel asked, hoping she had heard wrongly. Severus was, after all, her friend when she became friends with Lily. "He's hanging out with To-Be Death Eaters." Peter said quietly. "NO!" Lily whispered, still in shock. Remus' and Jasmine's eyes had widened as well. "Yes. I'm sorry, Lily." James said, his hazel eyes filled with sadness for his girlfriend. He and Severus may be enemies, but that doesn't stop James from feeling sad to Lily's lost of her childhood friend. He cared about Lily too much to care about his own rivalries. "I'll see tomorrow at lunch. I want prove." Lily sighed, her emerald eyes were slightly reddened. "You don't trust us?" Sirius asked in mock hurt, clutching his heart dramatically. "That's not the point! The point is I don't believe stuff unless there's proof!" Lily half-yelled. Jasmine blinked. Great. My first day at Hogwarts and I'm involved in an argument that I don't even understand.

"I'll be up in the dorm." Lily told the girls testily. Spinning on her heel, she stalked up the stairs that led to the girls' dorms, ignoring the weird looks other people were giving her. James sighed. He knew that he couldn't call her back. He glanced at the two girls beside Remus. Hazel looked concerned about Lily but Jasmine looked confused. No surprise there, he supposed. "I misspoke. Sorry, Prongs." Sirius spoke up from beside him. "It's alright, I guess. Thanks, Padfoot." James attempted for a smile but failed miserably, his eyes flickering to where Lily had disappeared last. "I'll go talk to her." Hazel sighed, standing up. Jasmine started to get up too, but was pushed back slightly by Hazel. She gave her friend a questioning look. "Passer du temps avec eux." (Spend some time with them) Hazel said. "Merci, Nut." (Thanks) Jasmine grinned, "Je viendrai bientôt." (I'll come up soon) "No prob, Cub. Cya!"Hazel smirked slightly before walking up the path Lily had taken a few minutes ago. Jasmine didn't understand why she smirked but then realised because Sirius made "the obvious move" by telling Peter and James, "Let's go up to the dorm. See you later, Moony." And so, as soon as he said that, Jasmine being a rather intelligent girl took up the hint. She shot Sirius a glare and he winked. Jasmine rolled her eyes in return. The 3 Marauders strutted up the stairs opposite the ones the girls took just now. Silently complaining about how annoying the boys and Hazel was, she sank back into the couch where Remus was still reading, apparently oblivious to the fact that they were the only people left in the common room.

"Watcha reading?" Jasmine asked Remus, once again trying to read over his shoulder. "Our Potions text book."Remus answered absentmindedly. The next 5 minutes were spent in silence, Jasmine finally able to read over Remus' shoulder. Finally, Remus noticed the silence and closed his book. "Where are the others?" He asked, puzzled. "Dorm." Jasmine laughed silently. "Oh, crap. I'll go up then." Remus said, itching to get away, scared of what she'd think about his "condition" especially when the next full moon is 1 week later. "Good night then, Rem." Jasmine grinned. "Already decided on a nickname then?" Remus chuckled, temporarily forgetting his worries about his "furry problem" and feeling at ease. "Yup." Jasmine smirked. "Okie. Good night, Jas." Jasmine arched an eyebrow but didn't comment. "Good night, Rem." Jasmine repeated her first phrase, embracing the boy as she said so. Remus tensed but relaxed slightly and hugged her back. Then they went their separated ways.

Remus sighed. Why does she make me feel so relaxed and at ease? I don't even deserve her friendship! I'm a bloody werewolf! For heaven's sake! Remus' inner wolf growled at his human feelings. Remus sighed again, this was getting him nowhere. Every time he had these "inner arguments", he'd end up frustrated. Giving a low snarl, Remus returned to the Marauders' dorm, his Potions book clutched firmly in his right hand. Little did he know, Jasmine was also just as frustrated about the full moon.

Jasmine plopped down on her four-poster bed, her eyes half-closed. "Psssst. Hey, Cub. How did it go?" Hazel asked, popping up beside her best friend. Not bothering to open her eyes, Jasmine groaned, "You set me up, Nut." "You're welcome." Hazel tipped an imaginary hat, laughter shone in her nut-like eyes. "And Lily?" Jasmine asked. "Managed to snuff some sense into her before she slept." Hazel replied, her eyes now trained on the sleeping girl. "Good. Are we gonna talk about the prank?" Jasmine asked again. "Definitely. It's gonna be epic!" Hazel bounced on the bed. The bed creaked and Lily stirred slightly. "Number one rule, never ever bounce on beds in Hogwarts." Jasmine joked. Hazel flashed her a grin, "Right you are, dearie." "Have I ever been wrong?" Jasmine asked in fake alarm and hurt. Hazel giggled quietly.

"Before we get lost in our pranking plan, do you want me to help you with your transformation next week?" Hazel peeked at her friend, seriousness taking over her face. Jasmine gave Hazel a pointed look, "You know that's not my favourite topic." She snarked before covering her mouth. "S-Sorry." She stuttered. Hazel gave her a strained smile to assure her there was no hard feelings. She knew how much this topic stressed her friend. "My offer." Hazel prompted. Jasmine frowned, now, thinking. "Thanks for offering. Your help will be useful, Nut." she said at last. Hazel smiled sincerely, "My pleasure." She told her, pretending to be formal. Jasmine just simply rolled her eyes. "Back to discussing the plan, then!" she declared.
