April 23rd

"We are always the same age inside." - Gertrude Stein

She's seen all the classics
She knows every line
'Breakfast Club'
'Pretty in Pink'
Even 'Saint Elmo's Fire'
She rocked out to 'Wham!'
Not a big 'Limp Bizkit' fan
Thought she'd get a hand
On a member of 'Duran Duran'

"Stop blaring music at this ungodly hour!" I screamed though I doubt Heaven could hear me over the loud music.

I wasn't sure the date or time, but I was positive it was too early for this bullshit.

"Nope!" I heard a faint voice call back, and I groaned into my pillow.

We have no school, and it's Friday, and I knew that every Friday I liked to sleep in until one and then stay up until three. When there was no school, of course.

Can a guy not hope for a normal day?

The music stopped abruptly, and I could hear two people arguing. Though, I wasn't sure who they were, saying as my face was buried in my pillow.

The song changed, and I raised an eyebrow into the pillowcase that I would like to call home.

Sunday morning rain is falling
Steal some covers share some skin
Clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable

The tempo changed again, and a new song rang through the house.

Pardon me for my lack of excitement but I'm not entirely thrilled
S-S-Stutter when I talk
Flail around as I walk
Yeah, the moment's been killed.

The music changed again.

A guitar rang through until the sound began to start and become more upbeat.

Check yes Juliet, are you with me
Rain is falling down on the sidewalk
I won't go until you come outside

Again.

Let me know what I've done wrong
When I've known this all along
I go around a time or two,
Just to waste my time with you
Tell me all that you've thrown away
Find out games you don't wanna play
You are the only one that needs to know.

Again.

The future is bulletproof
The aftermath is secondary
It's time to do it now and do it loud
Killjoys
Make some noise

When this song, of all songs, stayed, I shot out of my bed.

"Okay! Okay, I'm up!"

Though, the song continued to play.

Genevieve had gone out long before now -I hoped- with Justin and Miley, hoping for a 'family day', recommended by Miley. I didn't care for it much. They were family. Plus, I think Heaven had somehow convinced Genevieve to let me be tortured while they went out to get ice-cream and see movies or some shit.

I begrudgingly threw my feet over the side of the bed and stretched my hands above my head. Raking a hand through my hair, I reached over and reached over with my other hand to the place I assumed my phone would be at. When my hand hit bare wood, I cracked open one of my eyes that were previously screwed shut.

No phone.

I shot to my feet, and walked over to the door, bracing my hand on the handle and pulling. Pulling. Pulling.

Why the hell wasn't the door opening?

"Guys? Guys, what's happening?" I asked, tugging on the handle again.
