  Angel's POV

"Take one more step and you're dead, demon."

That was the sentence of the day, the very negative highlight of the hour, because nothing else interesting enough was taking place beforehand.

That is until Ella Cole walked into our house on that lovely Saturday morning, only to almost immediately spot a gigantic spider which she labeled as "demons".

And of course, how could I not agree?

Well, I did, but instead of putting my thoughts into words, I just screamed until I was somehow on the countertop in a matter of seconds, which was very impressive considering I was in the living area before that.

"Wow, she actually broke her all time record," CC spoke as he looked down at a watch he held in his hand.

"Kill it already!" I shouted.

"What record?" Ashley spoke calmly as he looked over CC's shoulder, curiously wondering what he was talking about.

"You know, the one where we keep count of how much time it takes her to get from one place to another when she sees a spider," CC answered, completely ignoring me in the process.

Ashley nodded knowingly. "Oh yeah, that record. Cool."

"ELLA, KILL IT!"

"Okay, okay, miss crazy pants, hold your tomatoes," she spoke with a roll of her eyes as she looked around for an item to smash it with.

"Here," Jake spoke, appearing out of nowhere with a roll of paper towels in his hand.

Ella smiled brightly up at him before gratefully taking the roll. "Thank you, love."

And right as she demolished the worthless life of that little evil creature with far too many legs to be convenient, a knock was heard on the door, which was immediately answered by Jake who stood right by the door anyway.

"Oh, hey, Alice," he spoke calmly, letting her in as Ella disposed of the disease infected paper towels into the trash bin.

"Why hello, darling," Ella spoke gleefully as she greeted her friend who gave me an odd look when she saw me, still sitting on the countertop.

"Um.....why..?"

"Spider," Ella answered casually, which caused Alice to understand immediately since everyone who knows my name knows that spiders are the worst things in the world to me.

I will literally introduce myself to people by saying, "hello, my name is Angel Ferguson. Spiders are the devil."
I haven't done that...
Yet.

"Well I assume it's dead now," she said with a light chuckle and I nodded, carefully checking the area just in case Chachi over there decided to throw a party and invite some of his friends.

"Wait, where's Andy?" Ella questioned suddenly, her eyes slightly widening as she searched the area for him, as if she would have missed him before now. He was as tall as a giraffe, which made hiding impossible.

Funny story, actually, speaking of Andy. He arrived last night, or should I say this morning, and I knew he had been out; smoking.
I also knew that he wasn't just going out to be alone for a causal little stress relieving smoke, which obviously meant he was with someone.
I never figured out who it was, and that bothered me. Not because I didn't know, but simply because I had asked him and he denied telling me anything, which meant he was hiding things from not just me, but all of us. Secrets were dangerous, especially when they were kept by Andy.
Andy's secrets tended to get him into trouble.
