“Breath Mrs. Artest” a nurse said. “What do you think I am doing holding my damn breath” I yelled. “Stay calm she is just trying to help” Antonio said holding one of my legs. “Help, help, you want to help so much give me something to take away the pain” I yelled out at Antonio. “Baby it is too late you’re in labor now” he said. “I’ve been in labor for 7 fucking hours get this damn baby out of me right now” I screamed at the top of my lungs. “Don’t push yet ma’am” a nurse said “you are only 9 centimeters you need to dilate one more centimeter” she said. “No I’m going to push now, he is coming now, I want him out of me right now” I said. “Ma’am please do not push” the nurse said again. “Look lady either you get ready to catch my baby or I will do it myself. Either way he is getting out of me” I said. “Bay she knows what she is doing just…”. “And do you know what you’re doing” I shouted back at him before he could finish his sentence. “NOW THAT IS ENOUGH LELA. THE NURSE IS TRYING TO DO HER JOB SO SHUT UP AND DO WHAT SHE SAYS” Antonio yelled. For a moment all I could do is look up at him in shock. I wasn’t the only one feeling this way because the nurse turned and looked at him with her mouth open as well. So I know I wasn’t hearing things he got his nerve. Without asking me he told the nurse I wanted to have the baby natural. What woman in their right mind wants to do that if they have the choice? I could just rip his head off and kick it around like a soccer ball.

Two hours later the doctor was placing my baby in my husband arms. “Good Job Mommy” the doctor said to me “congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Artest you are now the proud parents of a healthy baby boy”. Antonio kissed me on the forehead as I held our new baby. “Did you think of a name yet” he asked. I nodded “happy birth day Isaiah Treymain Artest” I said. He was born February 12th at 5:06 pm 8 pounds, 5 oz, and 21 inches of perfection. He was so small and even though I felt like hell bringing him into this world I loved him more than life itself. “What happen to you being a part of him” Antonio asked. “How could I not be, I brought him into this world, I am his mother, I carried him for 9 months and my love is unconditional. He is a part of me no matter what happens” I said rubbing the baby head. “If you want it’s not too late to make him a third” I said. “Nah I think his name fits him just perfect” he said “I love you baby”. “And I love you daddy” I said smiling.

“I’ll give you a few more minutes before I let everyone else in” the nurse said. “Thank you Nurse Tilt” we said in union. “He is beautiful isn’t he” I said. “Yes he is” he said. “Baby I know this is late but who do you think should be the God parents” I asked. “I’ve been thinking about that and I was thinking Nelson and Carson” he said. “I agree bae. I guess we can let everyone in now” I said. Antonio left out and his mother and my sister came in. Awwwwwwww they both said. “How are you feeling mommy” Trina asked. “Tired, Antonio didn’t want me to get the shot because of the side effects it can cause later on down the line” I said. “Whoa I wish I would have known he said that. I got the shot and I am fine” she said. “Yea well Antonio is stubborn and knows what he wants and how to get it. And plus he was just looking out for me” I said smiling as she nodded her head. “All I know is next time I’ll take the drug” I said as we all laughed. “You’re planning on another baby already” Nicole asked. “Heavens no, why mess with perfection. He is everything I could want in more all in one” I said looking up at Isaiah. “You look just like your daddy” Nicole said holding his fingers while Trina held him. “Okay well we are going to go so that everyone else can get a chance to see him. Welcome to the family Isaiah” Trina said as she placed him back in my arms then leaving.

“Oh Pa please put that camera away I look terrible” I said. “Lee you look just fine” my grandmother said as she reached for the baby. “Wake up boy” my grandfather said trying to get him to open his eyes. “Awwww Rey look at them eyes” she said “they are just beautiful just like you” she said to the baby. “Let me see his ears” he said as my grandmother moved the blanket back. “He’s going to be dark” he said. “Lee he has your nose but Antonio’s everything else” she said laughing. I didn’t say anything I was too tired.
