"Hey! Hey!" "Don't bother me, I'm reading!" he refused angrily, but the corners of his mouth curled up. "No you're not, your book is upside down," Ethan replied. "YOU are upside down." Ethan was silent for a moment. "Oh."

Tyler smiled. The boy wasn't doing anything – just fly around a bit. Tyler loved it. Ethan was so happy with so little. More people should take an example of him, he thought.

"Ethan! Watch the house! I have to go to work!" Tyler felt always a little guilty that he never told Ethan what job he did. But if he did, he would lose Ethan. And his heart wouldn't survive that. He was too attached to him. "Have fun!" it sounded from upstairs, making Tyler smile. He shook his head. He had to let go of these feelings.

"I'm home!" he shouted. No response.

"Ethan!" he shouted, running inside the house. "Where are you?" he ran upstairs. He heard a soft sobbing, as if someone tried not to cry but couldn't stop. He put his ear on the door, hearing the sobbing become louder and louder. He kicked in the door – it was locked – just to reveal Ethan in human form, back against the wall and hugging his knees. His face was flustered and his eyes were red from crying. When Tyler entered the room, he let out a little whimper and tried to back more into the wall.

"Ethan, what's wrong?" Tyler asked, clueless what to do. "G-get away from me!" Ethan yelled, throwing the book he was holding in his right hand towards him. "Leave me alone!" "Ethan what's wrong?" Tyler knelt before the boy, grabbing his shoulders. "Ethan, calm down, look at me." Ethan didn't calm down, stilling letting out small whines, but he looked him in the eyes. Tyler was shocked. Sadness, pain and fear. Normally his blue eyes were sparkling with happiness and excitement, and it was painful to see them so dead and sad. "What's wrong?"

Ethan started laughing. No genuine laugh. "What's wrong? What's wrong? You know damn well what's wrong!" Tyler forced himself to stay calm. "No I don't if you don't explain it." Ethan picked up the book that he threw. "You wrote this yourself. Why am I even here? So you can kill me too?" Tyler's heart broke. He had found out. "No! Why would I take you home then? If I wanted to kill you then I could've done it right there!" Ethan stood up and ran towards the door. "How the fuck am I supposed to know how your twisted mind works?" And he ran out of the room.

Tyler sank against the wall. He really liked Ethan – no, he was in love. Every time he saw him, his heart skipped a beat, and his head became light. Whenever he looked at his hands, he couldn't help but wonder how it would feel when he was holding Ethan's in his. Ethan was on his mind 24/7 and he even failed some jobs because they were too similar to Ethan's ghost form. He buried his face in his hands. How could he ever make up with Ethan?

"Ethan." Ethan was standing against the wall, looking in Tyler's brown eyes when he called. "What?" he hissed. "Are you finally going to kill me?" Tyler placed his hand next to Ethan. "No." He looked at Tyler sceptically. "Really? Then what are you going to do?" "Explain."

"Yes I am a ghost hunter, or rather, was. I quit." He looked straight into the boys blue eyes. "You know why?" "As I said, I can't understand your sick logic." "Because they remind me of you." He moved his face a little closer to Ethan's. "I could never kill something that looks like you. That hurts me too much." He moved again closer, causing their lips to meet. Ethan's eyes widened before closing them and melt into the kiss. Their lips moved together in sync until Ethan pulled away. "No wait – stop – I don't trust you. Why would you kiss me? While you're supposed to kill me?"

Tyler pushed him further against the wall. "I had to kill you, instead I took you home. Don't the puzzle pieces fall in their place? I'm in love with you!" he screamed the last part. Ethan narrowed his eyes, blushing a bit. It wasn't everyday your friend – well, for Ethan, crush – confessed their love for you. "And I'm supposed to believe that?" he said, still not trusting it. But he loved Tyler so much – it wasn't that he was crying earlier because he was scared, rather that it would be impossible to make Tyler like him back. But now he was pushing Ethan against the wall, telling him he was in love with him.

"Do I need to prove it?" Tyler looked him serious in the eyes, making his heart race. He parted his lips slightly to make a comeback, but Tyler took this opportunity to kiss him again. He poured all his feeling in the kiss. A few tears escaped Ethan's eyes – the feelings were overwhelming. "I really love you, Ethan," he said, pressing their foreheads together. Ethan smiled. A real smile, one that made Tyler's head empty and he wanted nothing more than press their lips together. His heart skipped a beat when he heard Ethan's next words.

"I love you too."

A/N: thanks for all the votes! and almost 1000 reads whaaaaat I thought this was going to be something only my friends would read but nope I don't have that many friends.

This is part 1 of 2 to celebrate. Sorry that this was so shitty because:

1. I'm sick. Ugh.

2. My fingers are frozen. I'm inside under a blanket, how does nature work anymore?

3. I hate making excuses why am I doing this.
