They sulk at the table where they eat lunch Daniel looks tense but worried for all of them.

"I'm so sorry" Ben says rushing over to them "I've managed to calm things down, it won't happen again"

"We're not stupid Ben" Carlos sighs "we'll never fit in"

"Give them one more chance" Ben pleads

"I think they've had plenty of chances" Evie sighs " seventeen years of chances"

"I'm sorry" Ben says sadly

"We know you are Ben" Victoria leans into Daniel and closes her eyes "but bringing us here won't erase years and years of hatred"

"After the coronation I'll make things right" Ben says seriously "I promise" they all sigh and look depressed. Ben stays with them for as long as he can but he's prince of Auradon and he has duties to fulfill. Daniel leaves as well to say goodbye to his parents which leaves them alone.

Without saying a word they stand and head back to Mals room where they gloom around.

"An anti love potion?" Evie asks quietly to Mal "you want to take away the love spell on Ben?"

"Yeah well I mean after the ceremony when we have the wand and everything turns into chaos having Ben in love with me seems a little," she shrugs "unnecessary" Evie doesn't say anything but Victoria overhears and purses her lips.

The next day at coronation they all dress in their best dresses which means the girls wear dresses Evie made them. They arrive at the red carpet and go to their posts. Mal sits with Ben in the carriage she offers him a cupcake with the anti love spell and he eats it immediately, Mal looks mortified but when Ben calls her out she looks confused

"When did the potion wear off?" She asks

"On our date when I jumped in the water" he smiles

"So you've been faking it?" Mal sounds hurt

"Never" Ben kisses her hand and she blushes. They enter the cathedral and Mal steps off a little of the left. Fairy godmother reveals her wand and takes the crown off Adams head and places it on Bens

"Do you swear to protect this kingdom?" Fairy godmother asks

"I do" Ben says loud and clear

"Do you swear to lead us into prosperous years and peaceful times?"

"I do"

"By the power invested in me I proclaim you King Benjamin" she touches his shoulders with the tip of her wand "now rise as..." a collective gasp fills the cathedral when the wand is snatched from fairy godmother by her own daughter "child what are you doing?!"

"If you won't make me beautiful mother" she screams "I will" sparks fly from the tip of the wand, a bright light shoots from it and Mal seizes that moment to snatch the wand away from her

"I told you!" Audrey yells Mal points the wand at her shutting her up. Evie, Carlos, Jay and Victoria rush down and stands behind Mal

"Mal" Ben say softly

"Ben stay back!" She says but he takes a step forward "I said stay back!"

"You don't have to do this" he says calmly

"We have no other choice" Mal cries, tears fill her eyes

"Come on Mal lets go" Victoria grins in satisfaction

"You have a choice" Ben insists

"Our parents..."

"You're not your parents!" he exclaims "you chose who you want to be" Mal lowers the wand and turns to her friends
