"So are you dating yet?" Evie asks Victoria during history class

"Shut up" Victoria shushes her "and no we're not"

"Why not?" Evie asks smiling

"We met like three days ago Evie" Victoria keeps on scribbling down her notes

"You're dating someone?!" Lonnie asks from behind her, Victoria groans internally

"No" she whispers

"Who is it?" Audrey asks

"No one" Victoria snap at her

"It's this cute boy" Evie starts turning around completely in her seat "he has black hair and brown eyes, he's usually wearing this dark green shirt and a black leather jacket"

"That's Daniel" Lonnie says excited

"You're dating him?" Audrey asks and rolls her eyes "good luck with that"

"What is that supposed to mean?" Victoria says giving up trying to ignore them, she turns around like Evie and stares Audrey down

"I just meant that you should be careful" she says quickly "he's like the biggest player in the school"

"Yeah right after Chad" Lonnie adds "he's been with like half the princesses here and who knows how many more in Maldonia"

"I bet you're all just jealous I have someone and you don't" Victoria sneers

"I'm not jealous" Audrey huffs

"Just be careful Vic" Lonnie smiles at her kindly "he's broken a lot of girls hearts" they begin telling her of the girls they've heard that have dated Daniel and not one has a happy ending.  Victoria hears all the stories even after she's turned back around, she can't not hear them talk about the boy she likes.

"I'm sure they were just messing with you" Evie says hurrying beside Victoria as they head to their next class which, thankfully, isn't together.

"Maybe I'm just being an idiot again" Victoria grumbles "falling for someone who doesn't care for me"

"I'm sorry Victoria it's my fault if I hadn't told them..." Evie starts

"No I'm glad you did" Victoria huffs "now I know who I'm really spending time with" she walks faster leaving Evie behind

"For the record Vic!" Evie calls and runs after her, she grabs her arm and whispers "Jay really liked you, his father wouldn't let him see you he was threatened that if he didn't end it you would get hurt" Victoria's eyebrows pull together in confusion, she blinks repeatedly and shakes her head

"It doesn't really make a difference now does it?" She says sadly "thanks anyway" and she walks away leaving a troubled Evie behind. She pases Daniel and barely glances at him which confuses him, sadly they share the next class together just before lunch so all class long he writes her notes asking if she's okay and passing them to her discreetly, Victoria just crumbles them and throws them into the waste basket with perfect aim.

When the bell rings Victoria gathers her stuff and leaves the classroom before Daniel can barely even stand. At lunch she walks off and heads to the bleachers. Ben walks past her shaking some excess water from his hair since he's just had P.E class when he sees Victoria he walks over to her a smile on his face, it drops when he sees her sad expression 

"Everything alright?" Ben asks her sitting next to her

"I think we've already established this...!" She says turning around suddenly but quickly stops when she sees it's Ben "sorry I thought you were Daniel"
