Two diary's and a broken heart

Start from the beginning

-the next day-

Tyler couldn't get the diary out of his mind. He kept walking towards the closet, and his brain wouldn't focus on anything else. He sighed, put on his coat and decided to walk towards the library. If someone knew about it, it must be them. He picked up the book and left the house.

He felt something burn his skin. Standing around the corner so no one would see him, he raised his shirt and saw a red imprint on his skin. He bit his lip in pain. "What the fuck?"

"Watch out! I can't stop the car!" Almost immediately after Tyler left the corner, there was a car riding at a way too high speed. He saw a boy with blue hair who seemed to be frozen in fear of the car coming his way. Not taking one moment to think he ran towards the boy, wrapping his arms around his waist and pulling him out of the way. The boy landed on top of him, his eyes wide from fear but a blush crawling up his cheeks. He was cute. Tyler shook his head. This wasn't the time to admire the face of a random stranger.

"You alright?" he asked. The boy looked at him for a moment before bursting out in tears. He buried his face in Tyler's coat and grabbed it with his small hands. Tyler rubbed over the boy's back. "Shhh...It's okay now." "T-thank you...," the boy stuttered. He smiled. "Of course." He patted his back for one last time and walked away. "W-wait," the boy stuttered, but the words were lost in the loud sounds of the traffic.

Tyler didn't feel like going to the library anymore. As soon as he got home he sank towards the floor. Was he the hero? Was the boy E.N? He opened the notebook.

Date: 5 January 2017

I don't know what's wrong with me. I just feel so sad...Like I can't do anything right you know? I just want someone to say they appreciate me...But not even my parents would say that. Pathetic aren't I? 20 year old and still depressed and on the verge of crying every time my parents fight. Just like four days ago...I don't know what to do. I just cried in front of that man – he must think I'm weak and pathetic. Huh, can't prove him wrong.

Ethan

"Ethan..." Tyler whispered. He didn't understand what was going on – but he did know what to do. He would follow the instructions of the book and make the boy happy.

He laid in bed, reading the diary over and over again. "The alleyway behind the supermarket, huh..." He closed the notebook and hugged it closely. With the book pressed against his chest he fell asleep.

"Tyler! Tyler!" a blue haired boy ran towards him. "Ethan!" He opened his arms and hugged the boy. Ethan looked up at him. "I missed you, Tyler." Tyler picked him up and spun him around. "I missed you too."

They walked together to an alleyway. Ethan ran forward and spread his arms. A maniacal laughter echoed on the background, followed by footsteps. "I'm useless," he whispered. "You think so too, don't you?" Tyler shook his head and wanted to run towards the boy but he couldn't move his legs. "No, no you're not! Ethan! ETHAN!" But there was no response except for his whole world going black.

Tyler shot up in his bed. The diary was still in arms. Panting he looked down on it, small drops of sweat dropping down on the cover. He wiped his forehead and neck with his shirt. He shivered at the thought of the dream. The first part seemed to be all happy-go-lucky, but the end...It was straight up out a horror movie.

The alleyway! He thought. At what time would Ethan be attacked? After all, there was no time noted in the diary. Did he have to wait there for the whole day? Just waiting until the boy showed up? He picked up the notebook. "Ow!" It was scorching. Just like the previous day... He threw the book onto the couch and hurried to the alleyway.
