"Alright. I don't think Taylor will be at dinner."
"Okay," she said and then walked away.
Mark watched her walk away before pulling out his cell phone and called Hannah. "Heather said she would be there as long as Taylor knew about it."
"Taylor knows and said she wouldn't be there."
"Perfect, so then Ethan and Heather will be there for dinner tomorrow."
"I hope your plan works."
"I do too," he said before ending the call.
Mark opened the front door for Heather and she walked in a little awkwardly. "How are you?" He asked as she smiled at him.
"Alright. You?"
"Doing well," he said and led her to the couch where they sat down and began to talk.
"Dinner's ready!" Ellen called and they walked over to the table where Ethan and Hannah were sitting down. "Is Taylor coming?"
Hannah shook her head, "I think she is working on a group History project." They began to eat and talk a little.
"Thank you for dinner," Heather said politely. Ethan nodded, mouth still full of meatloaf.
"No problem, dear," Ellen glanced at her watch. "I have a conference call in five minutes. I trust that you two can take care of the dishes?"
"Yes mom," Mark and Hannah said together.
Ellen stood up and took her plate out and then walked to the office. "I told you it would be fine," Mark said to Heather.
"You were right," she said, giving Mark a pointed look.
"So there," he said and then they all turned to see the front door open and Taylor walk in. "There's still some meat loaf if you want any." He said casually.
"How long did dinner go?" Taylor glanced at her phone, checking the time.
'"We talked for a while," Hannah shrugged.
"I'm not that hungry. I still have some work to do, so I'll just go to my room."
"Taylor," Ethan started, but she ignored him and walked upstairs.
Ethan, Mark, and Hannah looked at each other. "Hey Heather," Hannah started, thinking quickly. "Mark said that you were really good in calculus."
"Yeah," Heather said slowly.
"Can you help me with a couple of problems?"
"Sure," she said and followed Hannah up to her bedroom.
Ethan knocked on Taylor's bedroom door. "What?"
"Hannah needs your help."
"With what?"
"Calc homework."
"Why are you the one asking?"
"She asked me to, cause she thought you may be pissed at her."
"I'm not, well not really." Taylor stood up and followed Ethan to Hannah's room. They walked in and Taylor saw Heather sitting at the desk next to Hannah. They both looked over. "No," Taylor said shaking your head."
"You don't really have a choice," Hannah said and stood up.
"Hannah!"
"Look: you two just need to talk. I don't care what happens, but just talk."
