Four years later.

Heather sat on top of her table, feet resting lazily on the bench. She enjoyed observing everyone as they filled up the courtyard.

"Hey."

Heather glanced up and slowly took off her sunglasses. A tall guy had walked over with his dark hair gelled up like it always was. "Hi Patrick," she said as he sat down close to where her feet were. "C'mon no Patrick, move over a little."

"You're not in my way, I have plenty of space."

"Yes, but you can also see up my skirt." She said tilting her head.

Patrick rolled his eyes but moved over a little. "I don't know why you bother to dress like that then."

"I don't dress like this for anyone. I dress like this because it is hot here, and I want to look cute; nothing wrong with that." Heather readjusted her tank top.

"Do you have plans for homecoming?"

"Homecoming isn't for two months. Starting early this year?"

"Well this is our last year in high school; I figured that you might consider finally saying yes."

"Maybe."

"Do you have any date ideas?"

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't."

"C'mon Heather, you know we would be great together."

"Sure," she said and then scooted off of the table. "I need to get to class."

"I'll walk you." Patrick said quickly standing up.

"No thanks, I think I can make it there myself."

Taylor, Ethan and Hannah walked towards the front door of the high school. "I'm telling you guys, junior year is going to suck." Taylor said.

"Will you stop being such a pessimist?" Hannah said.

"We have to take the SATs, we are taking AP tests; but we don't have graduation or any of that stuff to look forward to. Plus look who's a senior now." She said as they passed by Patrick who was now surrounded by some other seniors.

"They aren't all bad, Mark hangs out with them."

"I can tell you are excited for your AP chemistry class," Ethan added.

"Which is not a class I want to take first thing in the morning, let alone with mostly seniors." Taylor said as they walked through the front door of the building.

"I'm sure you will do great in it."

"Well, I will see you two at lunch," Taylor said and she turned the corner and walked towards her chemistry class.

Taylor walked through the doors of the cafeteria towards their old table. Ethan was already sitting there, halfway done with his sandwich. "Hey," she said as she sat down across from him.

"How was your morning? Chemistry killing you yet?" He asked looking up at her.

"Not yet. There was only one other junior in the class."

"Were there many from your favorite group?"

"Just a couple, but the leader of the pack was."

"Heather Prescott?" Ethan asked surprised, and Taylor nodded. "She's smart too?"

"Who's smart?" Hannah asked sitting down next to Ethan.

"Heather Prescott," Ethan finished. "This is perfect; you can become friends and then introduce us."
