You hummed happily as you set up Bobby's kitchen table for cookie decorating. In the next room, Dean and Sam snored softly having fallen asleep at some point during A Christmas Story. Bobby sat comfortably in his oversized chair reading a Japanese newspaper.

"What purpose do these small houses serve?" Castiel asked confused as he watched you. You laughed before answering.

"They're just fun to make Cas. And ever more fun to eat." You popped an M&M in your mouth before continuing to construct the gingerbread houses. You carefully measured out all the parts and Cas watched as you put them together with thick frosting. You finished one house and passed it to Cas before making another one for yourself.

"How should I decorate it?"

"Well I'm making Dean's so you can make one for Sam or Bobby. Sam likes sour sweet stuff and Bobby likes salty stuff, cos he's a salty old man."

"I heard that," he called from the neighboring room. You laughed lightly and picked up a hand full of mini Hershey bars to stick on the roof.

"I'll make Sam's," Cas decided. He grabbed a few gummy worms and began sticking them to the cookie walls. You went to work on the house in front of you, determined to make it as sweet and chocolatey as possible. You had barely begun lining the roof with M&Ms when Cas pushed his house away.

"Done." You looked over to the gingerbread house that had somehow become a luxurious estate. Every candy was perfectly placed and Cas had made intricate designs with both frosting and candy he had even added a picket fence with a Nerds pebbled sidewalk.

"Martha Stewart would be very proud," you smiled.

"Who is Martha? A friend of yours?" You laughed and pulled out your phone.

"Alright Cas let's document you and your artisan creation." He picked up his plate and held it beside his face as he smiled proudly. You snapped the picture and immediately began sending it to everyone you knew. "Remind me to enter you in the baking contest the next time we come across a state fair."
