"THAT WAS stressful," I sighed as I sat tiredly on the floor.

"I just hope you residents learned something new," Lucia, our anesthesiologist, said while lying on the floor and looking at some resident doctors who are leaving the viewing area.

"Where's the respect for their seniors? Kainis! Wala man lang good job or thanks for your hard work mula sa kanila? O kahit tubig na lang," Nakasimangot na sabi ni Arthur, a surgical tech that assisted us in the surgery.

I sighed before closing my eyes and shunned myself from the outside world. I could feel my body aches from a long surgery that we did. Who knew that after doing four emergency surgeries I would be called to do a long surgery? Hays... I can't complain halos lahat ng kasama ko dito ay pagod din.

I wish someone could just show me a real 24 carat gold, I'm sure I will be fully energized. Or kahit naman isang chocolate na may gold lang naman jan oh. Baka naman.

"Excuse me, Dra. Montague," A female voice called me, but I'm too tired to open my eyes and to know who called me.

"Hm?"

"Sir Rondel called for you in his office, he wants to talk to you about something," She said.

I sighed, hardly opening my eyes to tiredly look at a familiar looking woman. Right, she's the secretary of this hospital's chairman. Siya 'yung babae na palaging nilalandi ni Sir Rondel sa itaas ng lamesa niya sa opisina. Well, sisante na ba ako dahil sinisilip ko sila minsan?

Pagod akong tumayo at hinilot ang nangangalay kong leeg. Gusto ko nang umuwi, ano na nga bang oras ngayon? Ah... pwedeng matulog sa sahig? Doctor ako pero parang ako pa ata ang mauunang mamamatay kesa sa mga pasyente ko.

"Great job everyone," Narinig ko pang sabi niya sa mga kasama ko na pagod pa ring nakaupo o nakahiga sa sahig. She looked at me and nod for me to follow her to the Chairman's office.

Hindi na ako nagsalita at sumunod lang sa kaniya papuntang Chairman's office, I don't know why I'm being called but I guess it's quite important. She knocked on the door before opening it, she invited me in kaya pumasok ako.

I raised my brow when I saw my cousin sitting comfortably on a sofa while sipping on a coffee cup. He smiled at me widely when he saw me but I ignore him and looked at our Chairman who is widely smiling to me.

"Dra. Montague! Sorry for the sudden call, please take a seat," He motioned for me to seat on a sofa in front of Xander.

"It seems to be very important that your secretary personally looked for me, Sir Rondel," Walang-ganang sabi ko at komportableng umupo sa sofa.

I sighed in relief when my body felt the softness of the sofa. I looked at Xander to see him smirking at me widely that made me rolled my eyes at him before looking at the Chairman who I think is in cloud nine.

"You don't have to work here, Doctor," Mabilis akong napaupo nang maayos dahil sa sinabi ni Sir Rondel.

"Ah? What does that mean, Sir Rondel?" Sabi ko na lang at takang tinignan si Xander na humagikgik sa reaksyon ko.

Is this related to him? Bakit nga ba siya nandito?

"That means you're going to be a personal doctor," Nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi niya.

"Ako?" Tinuro ko ang sarili ko at hindi makapaniniwala sa sinabi niya, "Even though it's not in the area of my field?"

"Yes and you, yourself, should know best if it's in the area of your field or not," Masayang sabi ni Xander, don't tell me that he's going to be my new employer?
