I am gonna do a new segment in this book called "How 2" I wanted to make a different book about it but it would be better in here.

So you wanna run a roleplay but you don't want it to go dead? How ever could someone do that? You ask. Well I'm gonna tell you!

Having a running active roleplay doesn't take no work (okay I lied I abandoned my roleplay for a few months and it was still running shut up)

Okay I mean normal roleplays. So if you want a roleplay for a specific fandom throw that out the window. Just make sure it's gone. Very few of those can stay active and do well.

You want a roleplay for a bunch of fandoms. That doesn't mean having like a bunch different fandoms thrown into one. No, you want to have a more broad topic like Pet Shelter Roleplay but not! Because that gets boring fast.

Maybe something more like a lab roleplay or a zoo roleplay or something. Pack roleplays are very hard to manage and very few stay active so I don't suggest it.

Having a main leader like an alpha of an entire forest or lab is a huge no no. Why? Because it makes people mad and makes the roleplay go dead fast because people don't like dictators.

If you want admins make sure your roleplay is popular first. Don't have admins until you have at least one new form per day. Not earlier.

Be sure to remind people of your rules and stay hard on them. Don't make very many exceptions because there would be no point in the rules.

Also have common sense. If you know the people in your roleplay are getting pissed at you then just back off. Don't be a dictator like myself.

If you make the rules you should stick to your rules with very few exceptions. Don't god mod or be mean just because your the owner. That drives people away.

Another thing is don't ban people just because they annoy you. Believe me, I did that my roleplay would be a waste land.

If you don't have any or very little roleplay experience don't make a roleplay. Just don't.

Last thing is when tagging people on a tag page just tag your friends and don't tell people to tag 'at least *insert number here* people' because I don't. People are much more willing to tag others when you accept their form saying this "Accepted tag your friends" it's much more efficient.

And that's the basis of running a roleplay.

Any ideas for the next how 2 comment down below.
