"Ayoko. Hindi mo ko mapipilit. A. yo. ko." Inis na sabi ko, emphasizing every word para mas maintindihan niya na ayoko talaga.
"Don't you pity this cute little guy?" He said, pouting his lips, habang itinataas ang isang kyut na kyut na puting pusa. I groaned while massaging my temple.
"Hindi ako mahilig sa pusa, Soo. I'm more of a dog person and you know that." I sigh exasperatedly, mas lalo niyang inilapit ang pusa sa mukha ko. The little fella stared at me, at hindi ko alam kung bakit pero naconsious ako.
"Come on, take this kitty. Hindi ka magsisisi, promise. Mabait si Jihoon," He gave me a knowing smie and unconsciously a shiver run up my spine. Hindi 'ata maganda ang pakiramdam ko dito.
"Bakit ako?! Bakit hindi ikaw ang mag-alaga? You love cats!"
"Nagseselos si Jeonghan e, anong magagawa ko? Mag-aaway 'to at yung isang 'yun pag ako umampon dito. Aawayin din ako 'nun."
I grimaced, remembering the nightmare called Jeonghan. Ang pinakamamahal ng kaibigan kong si Jisoo. That fella seriously looks like an angel, with his cream and fluffy fur. Anghel na may malademonyong ugali nga lang. I've been bitten before, just for trying to touch Jisoo. He's seriously aggressive. And has a mean bite.
"Bakit under ka ng pusa mo?!"
He pouted more, "Kung alam mo lang. . ."
"Ah, basta. Hindi ko kukuni-"
"Meow~" Napatigil kaming dalawa at sabay na napalingon sa pusang hawak hawak ni Jisoo. He's still staring at me while pawing his face adorably. His ears is flinching, tail swinging excitedly from side to side as he let out another meow.
"Meooow~"
"Omyghad," rinig kong sabi ni Jisoo. Hong, kung nandito lang si Hansol baka nadamba ka na niya. Nanatili ang tingin ko sa pusa. Kung tao lang siguro ang kaharap ko ngayon, baka nakakita na ako ng malawak na ngisi sa bibig nito. I'm not gonna deny that that this feline is cute. His pure, unstained white fur looks so soft and fluffy.
I wanna pet him, and cuddle- what no.
"He talked! He meowed! He never even let out a single sound before! Gusto ka niya Cheol!"
Iniling ko ang ulo ko, "I don't like cats, and I'm not adopting one. That's final."
Both the cat and Jisoo's face fell. Seeing the adorable cat look so sad makes me wanna hug and comfort- ano ba sinasabi 'tong ko?! I shook my head to regain my, unfortunately, lost sanity.
"Ayaw mo ba talaga kay Jihoon?"
I hesitated, "A-ayoko."
"Meow~" My gaze turned to the feline that is, still, staring at me. His ears layed flat on his head while his swishing tail was down and unmoving. He look so disappointed.
Jisoo hugged the cat and pet it while I fight the urge to take back what I said. Parang gusto ko tuloy iuwi yung pusa- but no, I can't. Hindi ko siya maalagaan ng maayos at hindi rin ako mahilig sa pusa.
"Alright," Tumayo na si Jisoo at pinanood ko lang siya. "I'm going cheol, thanks for your time."
". . . yeah, bye. Take care." He waved me goodbye at tinalikuran na ako. His hand still petting the unmoving cat. Hindi ko naman sinasadyang makinig pero sadya atang malakas ang boses ni Jisoo kaya narinig ko.
"Sorry, Hoonie, ayaw sayo ni Cheol e. Aalok na lang kita kaya Soon, you want that?" a pause. And then a low, sad meow was heard. "Oh, the poor kitty's sad. Don't worry baby, you'll find someone who'll want you soon."
My heart cleanched when another sad meow was let out, hindi ko namamalayang tumayo na pala ako at sinundan si Jisoo. My hand gripped his shirt to stop him from leaving. "W-wait."
He looked back at me, confused as to why I stopped him. I gulped, "I'll take him."
"Meooooow~"
