Connor was still having a hard time getting over the success of his art exhibit, he had booked a lot more professional photoshoots and though he had fun doing them, he still managed to always find time to add a few personal photos to his blog with a little paragraph of his day. I admired that about him. He was doing something he was truly happy with and I knew that he would go far with all of this, I couldn't help but smile and get all giddy whenever he told me a new project he was working on because he was like a puppy - all happy and excited.

I locked the door to the flower shop behind me, waving towards an old couple who were smiling at me as the old lady walked away with a single red rose. Cute. Whistling I couldn't help but feel happy, and though it seemed like I had no reason to be happy, with every step I was thinking of reasons to feel happy, but maybe the most promintent was that it was date night, and date night was always something I looked forward to.

I turned my phone on and connected my data, as I kept it off during the work day, and it was then I noticed a text from Connor

oh, that's okay. have fun with whatever you need to do then. i'll see you tomorrow.

I rolled my eyes and put my phone on stand-by, closing my eyes and breathing out lowly, trying to remain happy, yet without Connor to go home and hug it seemed useless so I just sighed and trudged away, trying to avoid the rain as I ran to the house to try get shelter.

I just wanted sleep at this point.

Unlocking the door I noticed it was dim inside, dad and Kate must have been out somewhere. I hated that I still lived at home but it was easy living and the rent wasn't that bad. Noah had moved out, he had gotten into the college he had wanted so he was away studying for a 3 year course, and me? Well I was still working at the flower shop, living at home, but I had an amazing boyfriend that was honestly too perfect to be real.

Yet I still felt a sense of empty.

Gosh, I always managed to make happy days dull somehow, and this was another example. I just wanted to know that I had something solid with Connor, like even if it was as simple as a promise ring I'd love it and accept it with a whole heart and some tears. I just wanted to know I always had him, yet I didn't want to pressure him at the same time. So I guess I would just have to wait to get what I wanted, and I was okay with that.

I flicked the light on with my key before putting it on the hook and turning to the lounge where I saw a present sitting on the table. Cautiously I walked over and picked it up, seeing a little white tag with 'for ashton' written messily on it. I lifted the lid off and smiled once I saw what was inside, "You're so sneaky." I heard a laugh from behind me as I held the key in my hand, turning and seeing Connor behind me, flowers in his hand a smile on his face, "Move in with me?"

"I thought you'd never ask."

And as we left the house, holding hands and laughing, I was content with my life all over again.

It's funny how one person can make you feel so much happiness.

I haven't written in this for ages, I had to keep looking back in previous chapters to see what was happening and remembering things so sorry if this was a mess!
